  • Patent number: 9636966
Abstract: When a clipping member is fitted onto the outer peripheral surface of a sealing member, the tightening margin for elastic fitting is provided to the sealing member by the fastening force of the clipping member. In this case, the clipping member includes an opening portion formed to have a partial separation in the circumferential direction and is formed from a metallic material approximately in a C shape having an inner diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the sealing member. Also in the case where a permanent set occurs in the rubber elastic body (the sealing member) as time passes, the clipping member is reduced in diameter by the elastic restoring force of itself. Accordingly, the tightening margin for elastic fitting to the stabilizer bar can be continuously provided to the sealing member.

  • Publication number: 20150290997
Abstract: When a clipping member 200 is fitted onto the outer peripheral surface of a sealing member 120, the tightening margin for elastic fitting is provided to the sealing member by the fastening force of the clipping member 200. In this case, the clipping member 200 includes an opening portion formed to have a partial separation in the circumferential direction and is formed from a metallic material approximately in a C shape having an inner diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the sealing member 120. Also in the case where a permanent set occurs in the rubber elastic body (the sealing member 120) as time passes, the clipping member 200 is reduced in diameter by the elastic restoring force of itself. Accordingly, the tightening margin for elastic fitting to the stabilizer bar can be continuously provided to the sealing member 120.

  • Patent number: 7347787
Abstract: In a joint boot to be mounted on an outer housing having a non-circular outer contour, intended to axial positioning without impairing the mountability to the outer housing. The joint boot (10) comprises a boot body (18) including a large-diameter attachment part (12), a small-diameter attachment part (14) and a bellows part (16), and a bushing (20) interposed between the outer housing and the large-diameter attachment part. The bushing assumes on its outer peripheral surface a circular form in cross-section and is provided, on its inner peripheral part to be externally fitted and fixed to the outer housing, with plural lobe portions (26) in a circumferentially distributed manner. On the inner peripheral surface of the bushing, protrusions (56) mating with circumferentially extending grooves (54) formed on the outer peripheral surface of the outer casing are provided in a position deviating from an external fitting area (Q) by the large-diameter attachment part in the axial direction of the bushing.

  • Patent number: 7264549
Abstract: A joint boot, wherein sealing performance of a large-diameter attachment part to an outer casing is enhanced, includes a large-diameter attachment part 2, a small-diameter attachment part 4 and a bellows part 5. The large-diameter attachment part 2 is provided on its inner periphery with plural convex portions 7 and constructed to be capable of externally fitting in plural recessed portions 8 formed on the outer periphery of the outer casing 1. The large-diameter attachment part 2 and the bellows part are formed in separate bodies, and a fit cylinder part 6 is extended at one extremity of the bellows part 5.

  • Publication number: 20060086457
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a resin-made joint boot (10) provided with a boot body (12) including a large-diameter tubular part (14), a small-diameter tubular part (16) and a bellows section (18), and a bushing (30) fitted inside the large-diameter tubular part, wherein the boot body and the bushing are separately molded, the bushing is positioned inside the large-diameter tubular part of the boot body, and then, both are integrally fastened by laser welding. The large-diameter tubular part (14) is provided on its internal periphery with an outwardly divergent tilting surface (24) while the bushing (30) is provided with an annular projecting portion (42) to be abuttingly disposed on the tilting surface, and laser (R) is irradiated, penetrating through the annular projecting portion (42) onto the tilting surface (24).

  • Publication number: 20030190963
Abstract: In a joint boot made of resin comprising a small-diameter cylinder part, a large-diameter cylinder part and a bellows part interlinking both and molded by injection blow molding, the small-diameter cylinder part constituting an injection molding section, the production of a burr at a boundary between the injection molding section and a blow molding section will be suppressed. To that end, the boundary at an outer periphery of the boot between the injection molding section and the blow molding section is set on a bellows part side away from a recess for fixation of the small-diameter cylinder part. In particular, a shoulder portion of the recess for fixation on the bellows part side is provided with a cutout portion, in which to set the boundary between the injection and the blow molding sections.

  • Publication number: 20030047883
Abstract: In a joint boot made of a resin comprising a large-diameter cylinder part at its one end and a small-diameter cylinder part coaxial with the large-diameter cylinder part at its other end, and a bellows part linking both parts integrally, a shoulder portion of the large-diameter cylinder part joining to the bellows part is contoured to slant in a taper form toward the small-diameter cylinder part. A taper angle of the shoulder portion is preferably 6 to 15 degrees. Thereby when the boot is deformed to bend in a wide angle, the overhanging deformation of the shoulder portion on the inward bend side is restrained and the durability is remarkably enhanced.
