  • Patent number: 7712959
Abstract: A radiation detecting cassette is disposed in a desired position between a bed and a patient in an operating room. After a detector-side connector and a bed-side connector are connected to each other by a cable, an image capturing apparatus captures and records radiation image information of the patient in a radiation detector. The recorded radiation image information is transmitted from a transceiver of the bed to a console by way of wireless communications, then processed by the console, and transmitted to a display device, which displays a radiation image based on the supplied radiation image information.

  • Patent number: 7655916
Abstract: The power consumption of a battery for supplying electric power to a cassette having a radiation detector for detecting radiation image information is greatly reduced. When a cassette transceiver of the cassette starts transmitting the radiation image information to a console transceiver of a console, the cassette transceiver changes the gain of a variable-gain amplifier to change a transmission radio-wave intensity, and transmits a test signal at the changed transmission radio-wave intensity. When the console transceiver receives the test signal, the console transceiver transmits a reception acknowledgement signal generated by a reception acknowledgement signal generator. In response to the reception acknowledgement signal, the cassette transceiver sets its own transmission radio-wave intensity to a value at the time the cassette transceiver received the reception acknowledgement signal, and transmits the radiation image information at the set transmission radio-wave intensity.

  • Patent number: 7633077
Abstract: A direction determination processor outputs imaging direction information representing the direction of an electronic cassette with respect to a subject during imaging of the subject. An image direction judging unit generates image direction information representing the direction of image data with respect to a reading direction in which a radiation detector is read, based on the imaging direction information, or based on the imaging direction information, imaging order information and a template. An image displaying direction determining unit generates displaying direction information, which represents a displaying direction of the image data on a display screen or a display device.

  • Patent number: 7622718
Abstract: A radiation imaging cassette is provided with two types of communicating means within a housing. One is a wireless communicating means for communicating wirelessly with an imaging control means, and the other is a wired communicating means for communicating with the imaging control means. A metal detecting sensor for detecting metal in the periphery of the housing is also provided. A control section ceases the operation of the wireless communicating means and causes the radiation imaging cassette to communicate with imaging control means using the wired communication means, in response to detection of metal by the metal detecting sensor. Thereby, imaging operations are enabled to be performed safely even in cases that patients with pacemakers are in the vicinity of the radiation imaging cassette.

  • Publication number: 20090278047
Abstract: A transportable electronic cassette and an image reading device carry out communication by laser light between themselves, with the separation distance to the casing of the opposing device detected by separation distance sensors provided respectively to the electronic cassette and the image reading device. The value of the separation distance detected is monitored to see whether or not the separation distance exceeds a reference value of the detected value at the start of communication by a specific value or more. Conclusion can be made that there has been a relatively large change in the relative position of the electronic cassette and the image reading device if the detected value of the separation distance becomes greater than the reference value by the specific value or more, and consequently emission is halted of the laser light from the electronic cassette and the image reading device.

  • Publication number: 20090257564
Abstract: A radiation image capturing system detects the position of a radiation detecting cassette disposed below a patient and the position of a radiation source for emitting a radiation, based on the differences between the propagation times of radio waves emitted from an antenna device to an image capturing apparatus and the radiation detecting cassette. Based on the detected positions, the relative positions of the image capturing apparatus and the radiation detecting cassette are calculated, and then compared with each other by a position determining unit to judge how the image capturing apparatus is positioned with respect to the radiation detecting cassette. If the image capturing apparatus is not positioned in head-on facing relation to the radiation detecting cassette, then a warning is issued, and an actuating mechanism moves the image capturing apparatus to an appropriate position.

  • Patent number: 7593507
Abstract: When a cassette transceiver starts to transmit radiation image information to a console transceiver, the cassette transceiver transmits a test radio wave, and the console transceiver calculates a minimum transmission radio-field intensity of said cassette transceiver which is required to receive the radiation image information from a received intensity of said test radio wave, and transmits a command radio wave representing the calculated minimum transmission radio-field intensity as a command to said cassette transceiver. The cassette transceiver is thus capable of transmitting the radiation image information at the commanded minimum transmission radio-field intensity. The consumption of electric power for transmitting the radiation image information from the cassette transceiver to the console transceiver is thus minimized.
