  • Patent number: 6902488
Abstract: To provide a lateral steady acceleration simulation system for railway vehicle, which is capable of simulating a situation in which lateral steady acceleration is applied to a railway vehicle for a long period of time, while having a compact structure. In a riding quality simulation system of the invention, a control unit activates each of actuators (40), thereby making a simulated passenger room (10) roll. Then, the simulated passenger room (10) is gradually inclined, while a component force, along an inclined plane, of gravitational acceleration g, that is, a first reproductive acceleration G1 is generated depending on an angle of inclination ?. In this manner, a person riding on the simulated passenger room (10) bodily senses the first reproductive acceleration G1 by the roll. At the same time, the control unit moves the simulated passenger room 10, by means of a laterally moving device, in either of the left or right direction with acceleration G.

  • Publication number: 20040014011
Abstract: To realize an accurate evaluation of the riding quality of a railway vehicle In a riding quality simulation system (1), a control unit (60) controls a drive unit (50) such that vibrations along a plurality of axes arbitrarily selected among six axes can be simultaneously applied to a simulated passenger room (10) simulating an interior of a railway vehicle. The control unit (60) makes control in such a manner that, among an up-down component, a left-right component, and a forward-backward component of the vibration applied to the simulated passenger room (10), upper limits of vibration acceleration and frequency range of the forward-backward component are made smaller, thereby making higher upper limits of vibration acceleration and frequency range of the up-down and left-right components.

  • Patent number: 5751441
Abstract: This invention is related to a communication terminal device and communication method for communicating with another terminal device in a full duplex manner or a half duplex manner depending upon a function of the another terminal device. A new recommendation V.8 of the International Telecommunication Union was established as a data transmission method for use in telephone exchange networks. This V.8 is suitable for use with telephone sets and data modems and not only facsimile devices. Devices which are in accordance with this new recommendation V.8 will be put on the market in the near future. Presently, half-duplex facsimile devices also exist thus functions which cope with half-duplex communication are also necessary. This invention, while being a terminal device basically adapted for the recommendation V.8, proposes a terminal device that can communicate with previously used half-duplex terminal devices, and a terminal device using that communication method.

  • Patent number: 5583944
Abstract: A speaker having a diaphragm with an outer peripheral part. A voice coil is disposed within and coupled to the diaphragm, the voice coil supported by a voice coil bobbin with the voice coil having at least two lead wires. The speaker includes a generally cup-shaped frame with the diaphragm disposed inside of the frame so that an outer peripheral part of the diaphragm is coupled to the frame with a damper disposed inside of the cup-shaped frame so that adhesive on the outer part of the damper is used to adhere the damper to the frame.

  • Patent number: 5349447
Abstract: The facsimile machine comprises a memory for storing data, a device for comparing identification information of a calling station carried on data transmitted from the calling station with identification information registered beforehand as identification information of communication-permitted stations, and a controller not for printing the received data and not for storing the received data in the memory while performing communication procedure, if the identification information of the calling station does not correspond to the registered identification information. A timer is provided for setting a time zone during which the controller functions. The communication is carried out at the fastest rate if the identification information of the calling station does not correspond to the registered identification information. The controller sends a "transmission succeeded" signal to a sending party even if an error occurs during the data reception.

  • Patent number: 5291304
Abstract: Various kinds of data such as destination addresses, messages to be transmitted are registered beforehand while they are made to correspond to respective abbrebiated dialing numbers or one-touch dial numbers. The invoice format into which the data will be written is stored in a storage unit. At the time of the transmission, the invoice format is read out by inputting the abbreviated dialing number or the one-touch dial key, and the data are written into the pertinent address in the format.
