  • Patent number: 6552131
Abstract: The present invention provides a block polymer comprising a polyolefin and a hydrophilic polymer, being finely dispersed in resins, in particular polyolefins, without requiring any compatibilizer, and giving thermoplastic resin compositions, said compositions giving moldings having permanent antistatic properties at low block polymer addition levels even when they are produced by a method involving no shearing and having excellent mechanical strength as well as having an excellent compatibility so as to avoid molding or roll pollution at their formation.

  • Patent number: 5886098
Abstract: A polyetheresteramide having good heat resistance, permanent antistatic property and superior compatibility with thermoplastic resins and a resin composition containing the polyetheresteramide are disclosed, wherein the polyetherester-amide consists essentially of a polyamide oligomer with carboxylic chain ends having a number average molecular weight between 200 and 5,000 and a bisphenol compound with oxyalkylene units having a number average molecular weight between 300 and 3,000. Antistatic resin compositions with good antistatic property and heat resistance are obtained from compositions comprising 3 to 40% by weight of the polyetheresteramide and 60 to 97% by weight of thermoplastic resins. The antistatic resin compositions can contain as compatibilizers vinyl polymers having functional groups such as carboxyl and epoxy groups or block polymers containing polyolefin blocks and aromatic vinyl polymer blocks.

  • Patent number: 4696658
Abstract: A coupler for coupling up a rotary shaft of an ignition distributor to an engine camshaft comprises an annular member having a circular axial recess into which the rotary shaft loosely projects over one axial end of the annular member, at least one projection provided on the other axial end of the disk-like member for slidably fitting into a diametrical groove formed on a top end of the engine camshaft, a diametrical straight bore formed in the annular member, an axis of which crosses a line passing through the projection and a center of the disk-like member at an angle .theta.(0.degree.<.theta.<90.degree.), and a connecting pin extending through the diametrical straight bore in the annular member and a diametrical bore formed in the rotary shaft of the distributor.

  • Patent number: 4358050
Abstract: A vehicle air conditioner control method and apparatus for automatically controlling the air conditioning of the compartment of a vehicle in accordance with a predetermined automatic control pattern, uses a selector for selecting a desired air conditioning condition. In response to the command signal from the selector, changeover from the control parameters, such as, air flow rate and supply air temperature for an automatic control mode to the selected control parameters for a selected air conditioning mode is effected, thus making it possible to selectively control the air conditioning of the vehicle compartment in accordance with a predetermined automatic control mode and a selected air conditioning mode.

  • Patent number: 4307686
Abstract: Two vacuum chambers at the same under-atmospheric pressure produced by connection to the engine intake are provided within a common casing, and intermediate space in the casing at atmospheric pressure. The membrane of one of the vacuum chambers is connected to a flanged sleeve and the control rod which actuates the distributor timing shift is permitted to move over a limited range without coming into driving contact with either flange of the sleeve, while it is always driven by the membrane of the other vacuum chamber, to which it is affixed. Stops, including an apertured partition in the casing of one of them, and springs are provided to produce the limits and slopes of the portions of the shift characteristic that make up the composite characteristic of the device. A bellows is provided where necessary to complete the vacuum chamber system.
