    Abstract: The method for producing a porous ceramic comprises the slurry preparing step of preparing a slurry containing a powdery aggregate and a hydrated crystalline material having a burn-out feature, the solid matter forming step of decreasing a liquid component from the slurry prepared in the slurry preparing step, thereby forming a solid matter, and the firing step of firing the solid matter formed in the solid matter forming step to burn up the hydrated crystalline material, thereby forming the porous ceramic.
