  • Patent number: 4907154
Abstract: In a vibration control apparatus, a physical value influencing characteristics of a suspension for supporting a vibrating body and a state value representing movement of the suspension are detected. A frequency distribution of these values with respect to levels is calculated every predetermined period of time. A target control force is calculated on the basis of the frequency distribution in consideration of a continuous change in external state. An actual control force (detection control force) is calculated by the detected physical value. The suspension characteristics are continuously, variably controlled so as to equivalently generate a control force corresponding to a difference between the target and detection control forces. As a result, the target control force is equivalently applied to the suspension, thereby damping the vibrations.

  • Patent number: 4834205
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling steering of wheels of a vehicle comprises a control means, a driving means, and an actuator means. The control means comprises a feed forward signal operating means, a feed back signal operating means for generating signals for variables representing vehicle behaviors and output from a vehicle behavior sensor, and a control signal operating means for calculating a difference or sum of the signals output from the feed forwad and feedback signal operating means. The feed forward signal operating means comprises a steering angle signal circuit, a steering angular velocity signal operating circuit, a steering angle signal operating circuit having a first coefficient circuit for multiplying a steering angle signal with a coefficient, and an adder for adding the outputs from the steering angle signal circuit, the steering angle signal operating circuit, and the steering angular velocity operating circuit.

  • Patent number: 4769774
Abstract: A system for controlling engine speed for a vehicle such as a fork-lift. The system has an accelerator pedal for controlling an engine speed, and a control lever for controlling the direction of movement of the vehicle, or the system is provided with a seesaw type accelerator pedal for controlling the engine speed and the direction of movement of the vehicle. An EXNOR gate is provided for detecting deceleration of the engine while the accelerator pedal is depressed. When deceleration is detected, the throttle valve is returned to an engine idling position or the supply of fuel is cut. Thus, an effective engine braking can be obtained when the direction of movement of the vehicle is changed while the accelerator pedal is depressed.A window comparator is provided for detecting the area near the end of deceleration, so that the engine speed is increased prior to the commencement of acceleration.

  • Patent number: 4727490
Abstract: A control device for use in a cargo handling vehicle in which a single power plant provides both the vehicle drive and the power to the cargo handling device has a continuously variable transmission. The cargo handling device is actuated by means of a hydraulic pump. Whether or not the cargo handling device is in operation the operator need not adjust the degree of depression of a drive pedal to maintain constant vehicle speed because automatic compensation means are provided for that purpose. The demands upon the vehicle operator are accordingly reduced.

  • Patent number: 4675827
Abstract: This invention relates to a cargo-handling vehicle equipped with a cargo-handling apparatus and having a single power plant adapted to commonly drive a hydraulic pump for driving and a hydraulic pump for cargo-handling. A driving command signal in the form of an analog or digital electric signal output from a driving operation device in response to the operated amount thereof is output to first conversion means. The first conversion means converts the driving command signal or the operated amount of the driving operation device to power plant revolution data for driving which is determined by the preset function, and then outputs the data to selection means. A cargo-handling command signal in the form of an analog or digital electric signal output from a cargo-handling operation device in response to the operated amount thereof is output to second conversion means.

  • Patent number: 4506545
Abstract: Disclosed is a sensor for detecting flow quantity of fuel supplied to a fuel injection system based on an idea that the flow quantity of fuel supplied to a fuel injection system is detected by means of detection of a displacement of a spill-ring. This sensor is provided with a detection member connected with a spill-ring of a fuel injection system, a coil assembly consisting of a coil for detecting the displacement of the spill-ring which is fitted to one end of a bobbin which is arranged to face with the detection member but not to contact the detection member, the one end of the bobbin being arranged to face with the detection member, and a coil for temperature compensation, the two coils being arranged side by side along the bobbin with a predetermined space therebetween, and a member for holding the coil assembly and for fitting the coil assembly to the fuel injection system.

  • Patent number: 4345771
Abstract: In a sealing or piston cup for maintaining lubricating oil on a sealing surface, the sealing surface thereof is formed with a circumferentially extending angular recess or groove which functions to retain lubricating oil. The sealing cup with the recess can ensure a smooth and stable operation of the device.

  • Patent number: 4189160
Abstract: A sealing cup to be used for a hydraulic piston-cylinder device the cup having an outer lip with a leading edge adapted to slide along a wall when fitted in the device. The angle .alpha. of the leading edge with respect to the cylinder axis is made smaller than the angle of a portion other than the leading edge with respect thereto, and is made as 1.degree..ltoreq..alpha..ltoreq.15.degree. in the free condition of the cup. When the sealing cup is installed to be slid in the cylinder, a wedge-shaped clearance is formed between the leading edge and the cylinder wall due to provision of the angle .alpha., thereby admitting the fluid therein to decrease the slide resistance of the sealing cup.
