  • Patent number: 6239825
Abstract: A thermal printing apparatus has a pair of transporting rollers for transporting a medium to be printed, a head angle member which holds a thermal head at right angles to a direction of transporting the medium transported by the pair of transporting rollers and which is pivotally supported at one end thereof, and a device for pivoting the head angle member so as to move the thermal head towards and away from the medium. The apparatus further has a shaft moving device which moves a shaft for mounting thereon the head angle member depending on a thickness of the medium.

  • Patent number: 4448597
Abstract: The air-conditioning apparatus automatically selects one of three operational modes and operates at one of three operational zones defined by a combination of the temperature and the humidity to establish thermally comfortable conditions. In the cooling zone, the air conditioning apparatus operates to control the temperature to lower the temperature; in a dehumidifying zone it operates to control the humidity to lower the humidity; in a fan zone it operates to stir the air to maintain thermally comfortable conditions. The air conditioning apparatus includes an operational mode controller which senses the temperature and humidity and changes the operational mode based upon the sensed temperature and the sensed humidity.
