  • Patent number: 5327890
Abstract: An apparatus for treating a patient with acoustic waves has a source of acoustic waves and an X-ray locating system, which includes an X-ray radiator and a radiation detector, which are mounted opposite each other on a C-arm. The C-arm is adjustable along its outer circumference around its central axis. The source of acoustic waves is adjustable along the inner circumference of the C-arm such that the acoustic axis of the acoustic wave source constantly intersects the central axis of the C-arm.

  • Patent number: 5065762
Abstract: A shock wave source of the type suitable for treating calculi in the body of a patient has a closed space filled out by a coupling fluid, as well as a hollow-cylindrical, air-filled space, centrally located in the shock wave head, which does not attenuate x-rays. The centrally located space allows for acceptance of an ultrasound locating system. It is covered on the application side by a flexible foil, providing for a shock wave head which is free from contamination of particles from the opening of the above mentioned space to the application surface of the patient.

  • Patent number: 4309613
Abstract: An exemplary embodiment comprises an image intensifier television chain, a device for dose output regulation during fluoroscopy, a function generator for determining the exposure voltage from the fluoroscopic voltage, and an automatic exposure control which keeps the integral of the light output from image intensifier per exposure constant. A manual selector is present by which the exposure voltage can be set, e.g. at any whole number value between 50 kV and 125 kV independently of the automatic circuit for setting this voltage. The automatic exposure control is designed in such manner that, given the manual setting of the exposure voltage, the function generator changes the x-ray tube current given constant exposure time for patient thicknesses that lie below a lower value and, for patient thicknesses above this lower value, changes the exposure time given constant x-ray tube current.

  • Patent number: 4247777
Abstract: The illustrated embodiment includes a selection device for the radiographic exposure values of each radiographic system, as well as a switching arrangement for connecting one of the radiographic systems in each instance to a common feed and control apparatus. The operating console is provided with representations of all associated radiographic systems. There is present for each radiographic system at least one signal lamp for the purpose of illuminating the representation of the radiographic system on the operating console, said signal lamp being a component of a monitoring device for monitoring the operational readiness and proper operation of the radiographic systems. It is possible to symbolically represent the path of rays of each radiographic system, and to associate with each radiation path symbol at least one signal lamp for the purpose of illumination which is likewise a component of the monitoring device.

  • Patent number: 4080536
Abstract: An X-ray diagnostic arrangement in which a plurality of radiological exposure systems and a common power supply and control panel are provided. The control panel has a control unit for the exposure systems. A selector unit has switching elements for organ programmed setting of exposure values for each exposure system. A manually operated switching unit connects any one of the exposure systems to the power supply and the control unit. Each selectable position of the selector unit corresponds to several exposure value combinations, and a program selector with switching positions is connected to all selectable positions so that one exposure value combination can be selected for each selectable position in each switching position of the program selector. The switching unit for connecting one of the exposure systems to the power supply and the control unit is actuated jointly with the program selector.
