  • Patent number: 9290238
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for maintaining or replacing a tether line (22) anchoring a buoyancy unit to an underwater or seabed anchoring installation, characterized in that a pull down line (12,12a, 12b?) is connected to the buoyancy unit and the line is guided through a block (21) fixed to the lower anchoring installation, and then the buoyancy unit is pulled down to slacken the tether line (22), and the sufficient maintenance or replacement is performed. A device is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20120003048
Abstract: A device is described for a foundation to be placed in a sea bed, comprising a housing-formed, downwardly open, coat-forming construction set up for placing in the sea bed, said construction comprises a top part, and the top part comprises an extended hollow body (140) that stretches a distance into the inside of the construction. The invention is characterised in that the length of the inner pipe is shorter or longer than the length of the coat. When the inner pipe is shorter, its length is of the order of 10-90% of the length of the skirt 10, preferably 25 to 60%, and most preferred 50%. When the inner pipe is longer, its length is more than 100% and up to 300% of the length of the outer coat (10), preferably 150 to 200% and most preferred 300%. A method and different applications are also described.

  • Publication number: 20070187170
Abstract: A method is described for collection of multi-component seismic data based on the use of noise from the installation of a pole together with installing receivers comprised of seismic multi-component geophones and hydrophones. The pole is hammered down to a desired sediment depth and repeatable signals with defined energies are sent out. The receiver cable is comprised of 3-component geophones and hydrophones arranged in a straight line profile, readily in star formation, and is pulled successively, after registration is carried out, in toward the source. One commences with a desired offset and gradually obtains increasing spatial resolution as the recording process progresses. Of special interest will be to arrange the listening cables in the directions where it will be most relevant to drill.

  • Patent number: 4679178
Abstract: An arrangement in a piezoelectric hydrophone that is provided with a protective outer housing enveloping a waterproof closed casing (2). Said casing is provided with two mutually opposed and parallel diaphragm wafers (3) on the insides of which piezoelectric crystals (4) being metal coated on their outsides are respectively attached. A connecting wire is extended from said case through its hollow central portion (6). Said central portion (6) is formed by at least two ceramic elements (7) joined along a plane parallel with the diaphragm wafers and provided with a metalization (11) in the mutual contact areas (9, 10). In the cavities (12) respectively of the two elements (7) stiffening ceramic disks (8) are provided and attached to the elements (7) by the aid of a matching projection (13). The inward facing poles of the piezoelectric crystals are conductively connected with the metalization in the contact plane of the elements, and an additional wire (5) is provided from the metalization (11) on the outside.
