  • Patent number: 7866153
Abstract: A split displacer piston assembly (1) in conjunction with a Stirling engine is disclosed. Said assembly comprises of two main parts, displacer dome (8) and displacer base (9). Within the displacer dome there are several heat shields (10). The displacer base has a piston ring assembly (12) installed in an outer perimeter groove and fixed between the displacer base and displacer dome is a displacer guide ring (11). In order to service and or replace these parts rapidly, the displacer dome and displacer base are fastened by threaded engagement.

  • Publication number: 20080264057
Abstract: A power piston (2) connected to a power crosshead (3) in conjunction with a Stirling engine is disclosed. The power piston may be mounted by means of threads (T,t) directly to the power crosshead in a Stirling engine. The assembly comprises a power piston assembly connected to a power crosshead (3) which in turn is connected to the Stirling engine crank mechanism (5).

  • Publication number: 20080223031
Abstract: A crosshead assembly in conjunction with a Stirling engine is disclosed. The assembly comprises a displacer piston (1), displacer rod (8), power piston (2), power piston crosshead assembly (2), displacer piston crosshead assembly (7), displacer crosshead connecting rod (6) and power crosshead connecting rod (5). In order to achieve a compact design, the displacer crosshead (7) and the power crosshead (2) are placed concentrically in such a way that the displacer crosshead oscillates within or partly within the power crosshead.
