The anti-Nodal agent decreases, suppresses and/or abrogates cancer drug resistance to the anti-cancer drug in the cancer subject. A pharmaceutical composition comprising an anti-Nodal agent for use in decreasing, suppressing and/or abrogating manifestation or appearance of cancer drug resistance in a cancer subject in need thereof is disclosed. A method for prognosis of cancer patient and a diagnostic kit are also disclosed.
