  • Patent number: 10826572
Abstract: Systems and methods for sending an electronic message including digital ink. One system includes at least one electronic processor. The at least one electronic processor is configured to receive the digital ink for inclusion in the electronic message, determine positional information for the digital ink, the positional information representing a position of the digital ink within the electronic message relative to a position of at least one additional object within the electronic message, and send the digital ink and the positional information as part of the electronic message.

  • Patent number: 10514841
Abstract: An ink object component of a content creation application is provided that can transform an ink object into a multi-layered ink object that enables a user to move between the layers without losing access to the previous layers or the original ink object. One or more ink strokes can be received, displayed, and stored in an ink object. The ink object can be transformed into a multi-layered ink object by obtaining content objects based on recognized entities of the ink object and generating a data structure storing the content objects associated with the ink object. Conversion between layers of the multi-layered ink object can be performed in response to a designated gesture and can include displaying any of the content objects or the one or more ink strokes in place of the one or more ink strokes.

  • Patent number: 10324599
Abstract: User selection of a displayed object is detected. The size of the selected object is identified and compared with a move target size threshold. If the size of the selected object does not meet the move target size threshold, then a user actuatable move handle is displayed in a location displaced from the selected object, on the user interface, but visually connected to the selected object. User actuation of the move handle correspondingly moves the object on the user interface.
