  • Publication number: 20120309243
Abstract: The Propulsion Protection Device includes rigid inclined deflection surfaces in the configuration of three or four rails/bars affixed, permanently and/or removable, both to the transom and to the bottom of a hull of a watercraft. The unit is aligned parallel with the longitudinal axis of the watercraft. At the forward most attachment point, approximately mid-point between the stern and bow, the rails/bars are flush and smooth with the hull/bottom. At the rear/transom, the rails/bars extend below the propeller, beyond the arc of the propeller, and rigid engine parts. There is a calculated inclination along the length of the rail/bars, thereby creating a deflection effect. The Propulsion Protection Device is designed to prevent catastrophic human/animal loss-of-life or injury, property loss/damage resulting from the accidental contact with the spinning propeller, and/or blunt force trauma from the impact with protruding rigid mechanical engine parts.

  • Publication number: 20040199994
Abstract: A disposable liner is positioned within a foot/pedicure tub to protect clients from risks associated with unsanitary tubs. The foot tub includes an upper peripheral edge portion and an interior portion having a two-tiered foot platform molded therein. The disposable liner includes an elastic or drawstring band that fits snugly around and can be hidden under the upper peripheral edge portion of the foot tub. In addition, the disposable liner includes a plastic portion covering the interior portion of the foot tub. The plastic portion of the liner is shaped to conform to the two-tiered foot platform of the foot tub. When a pedicure is complete, a used liner may be easily removed and disposed of and a new liner may be arranged to prepare for the next client.

  • Patent number: 5927527
Abstract: The present closure and container combination comprises a child resistant squeeze and turn closure having a tamper indicating band which is removed from the closure after the first removal of the closure from the container. The closure has dual squeeze pads located opposite one another on the outer wall of the closure. Formed at 90 degrees from the squeeze pads are two child resistant lugs which extend inwardly from the closure lower skirt wall. The child resistant lugs extend downwardly below the lowermost edge of the annular skirt of the closure. Frangible webs are positioned at 45 degrees from the external tabs and the squeeze pads and retain the tamper indicating band onto the closure side wall. A first and a second child resistant container lug contacts the closure lugs and are placed on the neck of the container above the tamper indicating bead. The child resistant feature of the closure needs to be overcome before the tamper indicating band is fractured from the closure.
