  • Publication number: 20240068598
Abstract: An insert apparatus for at least part of a retaining device includes a base member, one or more pliable retention members coupled to a first side of the base member, and one or more coupling members coupled to a second side of the base member. The retention members extend outwardly from the base member and are configured to facilitate engagement of an object irrespective of the object's geometry. The coupling member is coupled to a second side of the base member and configured for coupling to the retaining device part. In one alternative embodiment, an insert apparatus for a two-part retaining device may include a pair of insert elements that each includes a base member, one or more pliable retention members, and one or more coupling members, and at least one removable member connecting the two insert elements to facilitate fabrication of the insert apparatus as a single molded part.

  • Publication number: 20230413462
Abstract: An electronic device includes a housing defining a magnet attachment area, a bracket positioned in the magnet attachment area, and a magnet attached to the bracket. The bracket is configured to permit angular displacement of at least a portion thereof about an axis of rotation by no more than a predetermined displacement. The bracket may include a platform and a pair of spaced apart pivot arms. In such a case, the platform is configured to support the magnet and the pivot arms are attached to the platform at separate locations aligned along the axis of rotation. Alternatively, the bracket may include a platform, a pair of pivot arms, and a pin. The pivot arms may each define a respective pin aperture and be orthogonal to the platform and spaced apart such that the platform is positioned between them. The pin is positioned in the pin apertures of the pivot arms.

  • Publication number: 20230375108
Abstract: A stud-mountable cable retention apparatus and system include a cable retention member, a stud engagement member defining a cavity therein, and a body member interconnecting the cable retention member and the stud engagement member. The cable retention member may be generally open-ended (e.g., C-shaped or U-shaped) and formed or partially formed of a flexible and resilient material. The cavity of the stud engagement member may be generally cylindrically shaped. The cable retention apparatus may also include an adjustable fastening member positioned about a periphery of the stud engagement member. The cable retention apparatus may further include one or more cable guide members connected at one end to the body member and extending away from the body member in one or more predetermined directions. The cable retention system may include two or more cable retention devices or apparatus interconnected by one or more cable guide members.

  • Publication number: 20230378632
Abstract: A pass-through antenna mount for a structure includes a base to be placed against an external wall of the structure and a shaft that extends from the base through an opening in the wall. The base defines an aperture therethrough. The shaft extends away from the base and defines a hollow channel extending along a length thereof. The channel is generally aligned with the aperture in the base. The shaft includes a neck portion and an adjacent body portion. The neck portion is configured to accept a fastener and the body portion defines a cable opening in a wall thereof. The cable opening fluidly communicates with the hollow channel. The antenna mount accepts an antenna mounted to the base, where the antenna cable(s) passes through the shaft and exits through the cable opening of the shaft's body portion, thereby taking a tortuous path through the antenna mount.

  • Publication number: 20230362666
Abstract: A wireless communication node employs a method for configuring its antennas at or after node installation. The antennas are positioned in a predetermined arrangement and at fixed positions. The node includes the antennas, one or more processors, and a memory storing processor-executable instructions for the processor(s). Responsive to the processor-executable instructions, the processor processes wireless signals received by a first antenna and determines whether such processed signals meet base station discovery criteria. If so, the processor designates the first antenna as a donor antenna and designates some or all of the remaining antennas as service antennas. If not, the processor processes wireless signals received by a second antenna and determines whether such processed signals meet the base station discovery criteria. If so, the processor designates the second antenna as the donor antenna and designates some or all of the remaining antennas, including the first antenna, as service antennas.

  • Publication number: 20230361488
Abstract: A wireless communication node employs a method for configuring its donor and service antennas at or after node installation. The antennas are positioned in a predetermined arrangement about a central axis. The node includes the antennas, an actuator, one or more processors, and a memory storing processor-executable instructions for the processor(s). Responsive to the stored instructions, the processor processes wireless signals received by the donor antenna and communicates control signals to the actuator to rotate the donor and service antennas as a group about the central axis. Rotation may be incremental based on whether the donor antenna received an acceptable base station signal at a previous angular displacement increment or may be comprehensive to permit receipt of candidate base station data for a predetermined amount of rotation. After an acceptable base station is identified, the donor antenna's beam pattern may be formed in a direction of the identified base station.

  • Publication number: 20230354539
Abstract: An outdoor-mountable electronic apparatus includes a housing, one or more electrical connectors, and an angled access door. The housing includes a top portion, a bottom portion, and one or more side portions interconnecting the top and bottom portions. The housing's bottom portion includes an extended end section at one end of the housing. The extended end section is directed (e.g., curved, tapered, or angled) upward. The housing's side portion(s) and the extended end section of the housing's bottom portion define a cavity. The electrical connectors are mounted within the cavity. The access door may be hinged or pivotally coupled to the housing's top portion and is configured to cover the housing's cavity when the access door is closed. A seal may also be included along the perimeter edges of the housing side portion(s) and bottom portion's extended end section to further mitigate moisture intrusion when the access door is closed.

  • Publication number: 20230296713
Abstract: A transformer monitor includes a housing and at least two connectors. The housing has a first end and a second end opposite the first end. A first connector is positioned proximate the housing’s first end and configured for connection to a first cable assembly that outputs signals representative of a primary input current to the transformer. A second connector is positioned proximate the housing’s second end and configured for connection to a second cable assembly that outputs signals representative of a secondary output current of the transformer. The connectors are oriented such that the first cable assembly extends away from the housing’s first end in a first direction when the cable assembly is connected to the first connector and the second cable assembly extends away from the housing’s second end in a second direction generally opposite to the first direction when the cable assembly is connected to the second connector.
