  • Publication number: 20160077588
Abstract: A reconfigurable switch array assembly incorporating a touch screen system and haptics feedback that sends a signal for executing desired functions selected by a user and that alerts an operator by providing mechanical feedback. Graphics viewable on the touch screen and desired functions are reconfigurable utilizing module software compatible for selectively providing several different graphical and/or functional configurations contained in a single package. The reconfigurable switch array assembly has a rocker button that moves to a downward and upward position. When a user touches the desired function's graphic a capacitive field is created by a capacitive film to identify the desired function. The rocker button rotates from a static position to a downward or upward position caused by the force of the user's touch, which actuates a tactile switch to perform the selected function.

  • Publication number: 20110033668
Abstract: An assembly includes a substrate, a flexible layer, and an adhesive mating the substrate and the flexible layer. The substrate has a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The flexible layer has a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The flexible layer has a thickness such that light passes through the flexible layer without substantial change to a color or an intensity of the light and such that the flexible layer substantially conforms to a shape of the substrate. The adhesive mates the second surface of the substrate and the first surface of the flexible layer and has a viscosity that substantially fills in a texture of at least one of the second surface of the substrate and the first surface of the flexible layer. The adhesive also forms substantially no air gaps.

  • Patent number: 7228610
Abstract: A door module includes a bracket having a hinge portion which permits alignment of the handle support of the door module with a door shell attachment portion. The hinge portion of the bracket comprises a flexible strip that allows the bracket to flex between a first and installed position. To install the door module, the hinge portion of the bracket is flexed to the first position such that additional clearance is provided between the door module and the door shell. The door module is located in the door shell and aligned with the door shell attachment portion. The hinge portion is released to the installed position and the handle support is secured to an outside handle.

  • Publication number: 20060059784
Abstract: A door module assembly includes a door module panel having a plurality of locating pins. An inner door panel includes a plurality of openings that cooperate with the plurality of locating pins to align the door module panel relative to the inner door panel and to retain the door module panel on the inner door panel without requiring fasteners. The plurality of plurality of locating pins is orientated obliquely relative to the door module panel with each one of the plurality of locating pins being received within one of the openings, which extend obliquely relative to the inner door panel. At least one door module component, such as a window lift mechanism or door lock mechanism, for example, is mounted to the door module panel independently from the plurality of locating pins.

  • Patent number: 6908140
Abstract: A door module with a cable holder that includes a latch bracket attached to a door panel and a door latch, and a handle bracket attached to the door latch and a handle support. The handle support connects to an external door handle and personal identification keypad through a door shell. The keypad utilizes a cable for operation. The cable runs through the door module that includes a cable holder that routes and retains the cable.

  • Patent number: 6100617
Abstract: An electric motor assembly includes an electric barrier member positioned between the electric brushes and the bearing. The electric barrier member preferably is a generally annular disk made from a high-temperature dielectric material. The non-conductive barrier member ensures that no electrical communication occurs between the brushes and the bearing despite a close proximity between those components. A method of making a motor assembly to include a non-conductive barrier member designed according to this invention is also disclosed.
