  • Patent number: 11065626
Abstract: A self-optimizing, adaptive product processing system and a corresponding method for grinding and/or crushing cereals and seeds. The grinding and/or crushing takes place in at least one roller mill which includes a roller pair. So as to detect the temperature of the surfaces of the rollers, at least two temperature sensors are disposed on at least one of the rollers. The detected temperature measurement values are used for optimal adjustment and signal generation of the roller setting.

Date of Patent: July 20, 2021
    Assignee: BUHLER AG
    Inventor: Emanuel Reiter
  • Patent number: 10569280
Abstract: Roller pairs for processing a product, containing two grinding rollers, wherein at least one roller contains at least one sensor for obtaining measured values that characterize a state of at least one of the rollers, in particular a state of a circumferential surface. The sensor has a data connection to a data transmitter designed to transmit the measured values to a data receiver in an contact-free manner. Additionally, a measuring device for insertion into a receiving opening of a roller body of a roller of a roller pair, a product-processing installation, in particular a grinding installation containing at least one roller pair, a method of operating a product-processing installation, and a method of converting and/or upgrading at least one roller body are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20160107162
Abstract: Roller pairs (1, 1?) for processing a product, containing two grinding rollers (1; 1?), wherein at least one roller (1; 1?) contains at least one sensor (2; 2?) for obtaining measured values that characterize a state of at least one of the rollers (1; 1?), in particular a state of a circumferential surface (3, 3?). The sensor (2; 2?) has a data connection to a data transmitter (4; 4?) designed to transmit the measured values to a data receiver (5; 5?) in an contact-free manner. The invention also relates to a measuring device (12?) for insertion into a receiving opening (11?) of a roller body (10?) of a roller of a roller pair, a product-processing installation, in particular a grinding installation (18; 18?) containing at least one roller pair (1, 1?), a method of operating a product-processing installation, and a method of converting and/or upgrading at least one roller body.
