    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a stream delivery system includes a plurality of terminals, a call control server and a media server. The media server selectively execute multicast stream delivery and unicast stream delivery according to an instruction from the call control server. The terminal includes a transmitter configured to send the call control server an adjustment request including identification data to identify a media file being reproduced. The call control server comprises a determination module configured to determine whether the media file being reproduced is the unicast stream delivery or multicast stream delivery, based on the identification data included in the adjustment request and a controller configured to request the media server to adjust a stream delivery position.

    Abstract: An IP telephone exchange connects an IP telephone terminal and a non-IP telephone terminal to enable conversation between therebetween. The IP telephone exchange includes a communication control section, a voice channel, a control channel and a voice channel management section. The communication control section conducts data communications with the IP and non-IP telephone terminals. The voice channel interconverts between non-IP voice data and IP voice data. The control channel communicates a call control signal with the IP and non-IP telephone terminals. The voice channel management section detects presence or absence of an available voice channel when communication connection is established between the IP and non-IP telephone terminals based on the call control signal. The voice channel management section notifies a calling telephone terminal and a called telephone terminal that no available voice channel exists, if the voice channel management section detects no available voice channel.

    Abstract: When adding a new function to a key telephone unit BT, a function addition request is transmitted from a user PC of an user system CM to a customer center CC. The function addition request includes information indicative of the function to be added, a credit number, and a telephone number of the key telephone unit. The customer center CC accesses a credit company CR based on the received credit number, carries out credit research of a user. The customer center CC accesses the key telephone unit BT through a public network PNW based on the telephone number, acquires function information of the key telephone unit BT, judges whether the function can be added based on the function information. If addition is possible, the customer center CC transmits a license code of the function to the key telephone unit BT through the public network PNW, thereby setting the function.

    Abstract: A personal computer having a speech recognition board and speech synthesis board are connected to a key service unit via a control information communication path and media information communication path. Upon executing an exchange service, it is checked if that exchange service uses media information. When the service uses media information, up and down channels are set on the media information communication path, and voice guidance and a voice dial signal for voice dialing are transferred via these channels, thus making the personal computer execute speech recognition required for voice dialing and a search process of a callee telephone number on the basis of the recognition result.
