    Abstract: A layout processing method changes the layout of a template having a plurality of data areas in accordance with contents data to be assigned in each of the plurality of data areas. The method includes a displaying step, first and second setting steps, and a layout step. In the layout step, the size of a first data area is maintained, changed, or expanded based on the size of contents data assigned in the first data area and based on changes in the size of a second data area associated with the first data area. An information processing apparatus and a control program stored on a computer-readable medium are also provided.

    Abstract: In a layout processing method of dynamically changing the layout of a template having a plurality of containers in accordance with contents data to be inserted in each of the plurality of containers, it is determined whether to change a size of the data area from a standard size in setting the layout so as to adapt the data area to the size of the contents data inserted in the data area. When it is determined that the size of the data area should be changed from the standard size, the size of the data area is determined in accordance with the size of the contents data inserted in the data area. When it is determined that the size of the data area should not be changed from the standard size, the size of the data area is determined by using the standard size.
