  • Patent number: 11469455
Abstract: Battery monitoring systems having conductive strips and related methods are disclosed herein. According to an aspect, a battery monitoring system includes a conductive strip having a first end and a second end. The system also includes conductivity measurement circuitry operatively connected to the first end and the second end of the conductive strip. The conductivity measurement circuity is configured to indicate whether conductivity between the first end and the second end meets a predetermined threshold. Further, the system includes a strap attached to at least one of the first end and the second end, configured to attach to a battery, and configured to apply tension to the conductive strip when attached to the battery.

  • Patent number: 10138112
Abstract: A fuel dispenser may include a transceiver for wireless communication with a transceiver on a vehicle in order to receive vehicle information about a vehicle in response to a transceiver on the vehicle coming into a wireless communication range of the transceiver of the fuel dispenser. The vehicle information may be used to identify at least one fuel type that is suitable for the vehicle and the fuel dispenser may be prevented from dispensing a fuel type other than the at least one identified fuel type. The vehicle may also request a specific amount of fuel. A fuel transaction is complete when the amount of fuel dispensed reaches the requested amount or when an automatic shut-off mechanism is triggered.

  • Patent number: 9812131
Abstract: A computer program product, according to one embodiment, includes a computer readable storage medium having program instructions embodied therewith, the program instructions readable and/or executable by a computer to cause the computer to: receive one or more voice signals from one or more participants of a call, correlate each of the one or more received voice signals with speaker profiles in a database, output speaker identification information from the correlated speaker profiles, and send the speaker identification information at least one of the participants of the call. Other systems, methods, and computer program products are described in additional embodiments.

  • Patent number: 8640118
Abstract: An embodiment includes a computer comprising a system board and a removable programmable storage device. If the system board is replaced, the removable programmable storage device may be transferred to the replacement system board for the automatic transfer of information to the replacement system board and configuration of the replacement system board. In one embodiment, the computer receives a start up command. The computer determines whether a firmware image on the system board matches a firmware image on the removable programmable storage device. Based on determining that the firmware images do not match (when the system board is replaced with a new system board, for example), the computer replaces the firmware image on the system board with the firmware image on the removable programmable storage device. After the check and replacement, the computer proceeds with boot sequences.
