    Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to neighbor awareness networking (NAN) operations in the 6 GHz frequency band. A NAN device may generate a first NAN frame including a first indication of a NAN operation capability, and a second indication of a transmit power of the NAN device. The NAN device may send the first NAN frame and may identify a second NAN frame received from a second NAN device, the second NAN frame including a third indication of the NAN operation capability, and a fourth indication of a transmit power of the second NAN device. The NAN device may determine, based on the transmit power of the NAN device and the transmit power of the second NAN device, an operation parameter for the 6 GHz frequency band. The NAN device may establish, based on the operation parameter, a NAN connection using the 6 GHz frequency band.

    Abstract: Embodiments provide a new short beacon frame format and its operation with full beacon frame transmissions for wireless communications devices. Many embodiments comprise a medium access control (MAC) sublayer logic to build frames comprising the short beacon frame for a first communications device. In some embodiments, the MAC sublayer may determine a frame control field comprising a type field indicative of an extension frame and a subtype indicative of a short beacon. In further embodiments, the frame control field may comprise a service set identifier (SSID) control field, and a reserved field. Some embodiments may store the short beacon frame or frame format in memory, in logic, or in another manner that facilitates transmission of the short beacon frames. Some embodiments may receive and detect communications with the short beacon frames. Further embodiments may generate and transmit a communication with the short beacon frames.

The device may identify a second Bluetooth data packet received by the Bluetooth radio from a second device, the second Bluetooth data packet indicating that the Wi-Fi service is supported by the second device. The device may use a Wi-Fi radio to send one or more Wi-Fi frames associated with the Wi-Fi service to the second device.

In some embodiments, the UE may decode a discovery response message for the announcing procedure, received over the PC3 interface from the ProSe Function in the HPLMN, including a ProSe application code and the PC5_tech parameter to indicate the PC5 radio technology authorized to be used for the ProSe application code.

A code sequence is applied to a second data stream to generate an encoded second data stream, which is transmitted to the third communication device via a second communication link established based on information received via the first data stream.

    Abstract: Logic may enable client devices or access points to relay medium access control (MAC) frames through a Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) Direct network such as a network of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) connections to extend the wireless range of the devices or access points beyond the transmission range of the individual devices or access points. Logic may extend the range of IEEE 802.11 devices, such as IEEE 802.11ah devices, by allowing a station in the middle of two stations to serve as a relay station using the Wi-Fi Direct technology. Logic may enable relaying to avoid a full mesh technology such as is defined in IEEE 802.11s, since the full mesh technology may contain too many features that are not required for a simple or a static network configuration of such embodiments.

    Abstract: An apparatus and system of switching channels between a group owner (GO) and a group client (GC) in a Wi-Fi Direct (WFD) network are described. After establishing the P2P connection via a P2P channel, a request is sent from the GC to the GO to switch from the P2P channel to a preferred channel. The preferred channel may be an access point (AP) channel with which the GC has established communication with an AP after the P2P connection has been established. If the request is accepted, beacons that contain a Channel Switch Announcement (CSA) element or an extended CSA element to schedule a switch from the P2P channel to the preferred channel are sent from the GO. If the request is declined, a response is sent that indicates the preferred channel is not to be used for the P2P connection and includes a rejection reason.
