Abstract: A conveyor assembly is provided on a baler between a crop take-up arrangement and a baling chamber. The conveyor assembly includes a guide member assembly having an upwardly facing guide surface defining a lower limit of a crop conveying channel having an upper limit defined by an undershot rotor positioned above the guide surface. The conveyor assembly further includes a cutting arrangement mounted to a lower side of the guide member and having knives located for projecting through slots provided in the guide member. The cutting arrangement can be lowered together with the guide member, as well as shifted transverse to the forward operating direction relative to the guide member. In this way jams can be avoided or removed, and the cutting arrangement can be brought into a position accessible for purposes of maintenance, as well.

Abstract: An introduction device for introducing a roll of wrapping material to a wrapping device includes a support for supporting a roll of wrapping material, the support being movable between a loading position and an operating position, an actuating device having a pivotable pressure arm and a roller mounted onto the pivotable pressure arm, the actuating device adapted to pivot the pressure arm and bring the roller into contact with and to exert pressure onto the roll of wrapping material during the wrapping operation, and a device for activating the actuating device based upon the position of the support.

Abstract: A round baler is provided with a single set of baling means like belts, which are trained over a series of fixed and mobile rolls. In order to form a bale of a large diameter several loops are formed in said baling means, which loops are controlled by two pivot arms. One of the pivot arms partially coincides with the potential bale chamber. As a result, the pivot arm does not extend beyond the boarder of the side structure during its movement.

During a wrapping procedure, the wrapping web is pulled off a supply roll and directed to a location in front of the baling chamber where it is engaged by a crop supply unit and introduced into the baling chamber where the rotating bale carries the wrapping web about it and becomes wrapped.

Abstract: A towed implement for operation on roads and off-road. Known towed implements in agriculture have, e.g., pressurized air brakes which enable them to be effectively braked, particularly during travel on roads, without causing skidding of the towing tractor. However when such brakes are used off-road it is regarded as a drawback that, e.g., they cause damage to turf. As a solution to the problem of overly vigorous braking during off-road operation, a towed implement is proposed wherein the braking force is controlled so as to be of a greater magnitude during on-road operation than it is for off-road operation. For this purpose, a sensor is provided for sensing the operating condition of a component which provides a signal indicative of whether or not the implement is operating off-road or on-road, with the signal being used to control the amount of force used for braking the implement.
