  • Patent number: 11479331
Abstract: A traction system, notably for a ship, includes a fixed station, at least one first sail and one second sail, the first sail comprising a wing and being connected to a winch of the fixed station by a first hauling cable, the second sail includes a second wing and being connected to a winch of the fixed station by a second hauling cable. The fixed station includes a mast which is equipped with a first conveyor dedicated to mooring the first wing to this mast and with a second conveyor dedicated to mooring the second wing to this mast.

  • Patent number: 11225311
Abstract: A traction system for a watercraft, including a sail and a fixed station that includes a mast and a winch which is connected to the sail by a traction cable, the system further including a bottom part that is supported by the traction cable, and fold lines, each of which has an end that is attached to a leading edge of the sail, and another end that is supported by the bottom part. The fixed station includes a base that accommodates the bottom element when the sail is retracted by the winch; and structure for grasping each fold line and pulling same towards the mast so as to retract the leading edge against the mast and fold the sail once the winch has retracted same close to the station.

  • Patent number: 9051058
Abstract: An aircraft ground or sea approach anomaly detection method. The method includes the steps of characterizing a flight phase of the aircraft, determining a prohibited flight envelope, defining a set of prohibited vertical speeds of the aircraft for given altitudes in relation to the ground or the sea, as a function of the flight phase of the aircraft characterized, and detecting a ground approach anomaly of the aircraft as a function of a current vertical speed and altitude in relation to the ground or the sea of the aircraft, in relation to the prohibited flight envelope determined.

  • Patent number: 8818577
Abstract: A device includes means for generating and applying to an aircraft protecting orders avoiding a flight with an excessive descent rate. More specifically, the device includes components configured to perform a series of operations including measuring the current vertical speed and the current height of the aircraft and comparing these flight parameters with a safety envelope defining couples of vertical speed and height that are indicative of an excessive descent rate. If the current vertical speed and height are located in the safety envelope, a protection is triggered by generating protecting orders to remove the aircraft from the safety envelope and applying those protecting orders to control surfaces of the aircraft.

  • Patent number: 8731744
Abstract: The guiding mode transition aiding device includes a target heading determining device and a mode transition triggering system. The target heading determining device is configured to determine a target heading which represents the heading value reached by the aircraft at the end of a procedure of folding the wings of the aircraft flat from a current operating state. The mode transition triggering system receives the target heading and compares the target heading to a desired heading to be reached by the airplane to assist with triggering a transition between a rolling angle holding mode, in which the aircraft flies with a constant rolling angle, to a heading holding mode, in which the aircraft flies with a constant heading. This device and associated methods may be used during in flight refueling operations.
