  • Patent number: 4401146
Abstract: A roller blind structure of the kind comprising an elongated tubular member, having secured thereto one end of a fabric web and being rotatably mounted in elongated openings in two spaced apart brackets so as to allow said tubular member to be also displaced towards and away from a window or the like and further having a flanged reel secured to said elongated member and a cord which has one end thereof secured to said reel and wound up in a direction opposite to the winding direction of the web. A cover with elongated upper and lower walls is provided to form an elongated recess for receiving the flanged reel in a manner to allow it to be displaced with the tubular member. The cover further has in the lower wall thereof an elongated opening permitting the passage of the cord in a substantially vertical direction independent of the actual displacement position of the reel.

  • Patent number: 4347885
Abstract: A roller blind structure has an elongated tubular member which is mounted for rotation and displacement in elongated openings in two spaced-apart brackets. Coaxially secured to the tubular member is a pulley. The roller blind screen is secured to the tubular member, and a cord for rotating the tubular member is secured to the hub of the pulley. A tubular sleeve having a downwardly directed opening for the cord has an axial projection sliding against an upper horizontal surface of the bracket to prevent the sleeve from rotating but to allow it to be displaced with the pulley A guiding and locking means is provided at a vertical spacing below the sleeve and serves to guide the cord relative to the sleeve and to lock the cord in any desired position. For the latter purpose, it has a spring-influenced locking arm.

  • Patent number: 4347886
Abstract: A roller blind has a roller with axially projecting trunnions each of which engages in an elongated arcuate slot in a respective end bracket mounting the blind on a supporting structure such as window frame. One trunnion is connected to a reversible motor for winding up and lowering the blind. The trunnions each bear frictionally on an edge bounding the slot, and the blind is wound on the roller such that rotation of the roller in the direction to lower the blind causes movement, by frictional engagement, of the trunnions along the slots to bring the blind closer to the window frame, whereas winding up of the blind moves it farther away from the window frame.

  • Patent number: 4262729
Abstract: A roller blind has a roller with axially projecting trunnions each of which engages in an elongated slot in a respective end bracket mounting the blind on a supporting structure such as a window frame. One trunnion carries a keyed pulley upon which to wind a cord for operating the blind. To guide the cord there is provided a sleeve which surrounds the pulley in freely relatively rotatable manner and which has a radial opening through which the cord is fed onto, and from, the pulley. The improvement is that the sleeve is enabled to follow movement of the roller and pulley towards and away from the supporting structure but nevertheless remain secured against rotation. In a preferred form, the sleeve is secured for such purpose by a sheath, for the cord, attached at one end to the sleeve and at the other end to the supporting structure.
