Abstract: Methods of transactions alerting and point-of-sale (POS) terminals are generally described. Offline approved transactions and/or time-out reversals associated with a particular store and/or POS terminal may be detected over a predetermined time period. Whether a particular threshold for each of the offline approved transactions and/or time-out reversals has been reached may be subsequently determined. Once a particular threshold has been reached, an electronic alert indicating a store-wide or a local POS issue may be transmitted to an appropriate internal or external entity. The electronic alert may include information specific to the type of issue as well as specifics about the store and POS terminal encountering the issue.
