Abstract: The subject matter hereof relates to systems and methods of providing for correction of image signals characteristic of non-uniform images. Various example embodiments of systems and methods so providing correction include embodiments directed to endoscopic imaging systems, endoscopes, and endoscopic imaging methods. Various example embodiments of systems and methods so providing correction include embodiments: that establish one or more correction factors and correct selected image data using at least one of such correction factors; and/or that establish one or more correction factors in performing a trigger operation, e.g., a white balance operation.

Abstract: A video signal compensator and method for compensating for differential picture brightness of an optical image due to uneven illumination is shown. The video signal compensator includes a device for generating a compensating signal substantially representing at least one parameter of a compensating waveform required to produce a video signal representing an optical image having a substantially uniform brightness.

Abstract: A beach game includes markers for planting into the sand and water indicator bands which change color upon becoming wet. A player attaches a water indicator band to his ankle or other body part and pursues retreating waves in the direction of the water. The player plants the marker into the wet sand as far out as possible, without wetting the water indicator, and then returns back up the beach in front of the resurging surf. The object of the game is to plant the marker further out than the other players without wetting the water indicator. The game is particularly advantageous for young children because the players necessarily avoid significant contact with water.
