  • Publication number: 20100071136
Abstract: Elastic compressible and flexible spacing supports out of foam or similarily compressible material is described for the filling of mattress cores, upholstery and pillows which are connected to one another as rib- or tube-like structures arranged in rows standing uprightly or lying horizontally and fixed at least on one side to an elastically resilient deck plate or cover. These spacing supports avoid the stiffness of bulk foam and they are used in a variety of geometrical profiles. They make possible a foam saving factor of two to three, a zone variation and the implanting of additional springy elements and they yield a superventilation of the mattress cores. A roll packing of the cores or the finished mattresses is possible.

  • Patent number: 6647574
Abstract: A coupled waveband (14, 21) suspension for bed underframes, seating, upholstery, and mattresses consists of several sinusoidal wavebands (14, 21) which run parallel and/or transversely to the longitudinal axis. Support elements (12, 35) are rigidly or moveably fixed to or ride on the crests or maxima of the wavebands (14, 21). The troughs or minima are supported by slide or roll bearing elements (17) affixed to the frame. A strong interactive coupling is achieved between the support elements (12, 35) causing a positive stroke of the less pressure-loaded segments and the appropriate support elements by the simultaneous lowering of the pressure-loaded waveband segments. The wavebands (14, 21) are manufactured out of higher quality, elastically flexible sold plastic or foam material, or of spring steel band or wire, duralumin, or out of formed laminated wood.

  • Publication number: 20020078803
Abstract: In order to further develop a device for the machining of the ends of tubes for producing a welding joint comprising a housing which can be secured on the end of the tube to be machined and on which a rotatingly drivable shaft is mounted, and comprising a rotary unit non-rotatably arranged on the shaft with a radially adjustable tool slide, on which a cutting plate is held, in such a manner that the welding joint can be produced in a shorter machining time and with a high-standard surface quality it is provided in accordance with the invention for the tool slide to be adjustable continuously in a radial direction, wherein the radial adjustment of the tool slide is coupled to the rotary movement of the shaft via gear means, and for the cutting plate to be held on the tool slide so as to be adjustable axially, parallel to the longitudinal axis of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 5924149
Abstract: A three-point bridge suspension end bearing for transverse slats in a bed underframe includes a central spring element arranged centrally between two elastic bridge elements having eyes in their lower part. The eyes are rotatable about the axis of journals fixed to the underframe. The central spring element can be supported by a fixed or by a mobile support. Adjacent bridge elements can share the mount journals in a hinge-like partition of the rotatable eyes. Transverse slat caps can be incorporated in the top parts of the bridge elements with transverse connections to the central spring element or to the central spring element formed from bow-shaped segments. Transverse connections in collaboration with the bridge elements, or the tube chamber of a pneumatic sprung surface bearing, or a flexible/elastic belt, can be used as a mobile support, thus interactively coupling the three-point suspension end bearings.

  • Patent number: 5784731
Abstract: A hydrodynamic sprung surface bearing having at least two bearing elements bearing against a tube-shaped container which is filled with a substantially incompressible medium, and against which side walls bear. Surfaces of the bearing elements bearing against the container are, in total, smaller by one order of magnitude than a surface of the container wall. Even for scarcely progressive, low pressure forces, the preferably T-shaped or anchor-shaped bearing elements cause overturning in a negative stroke direction, along with a pronounced change in shape of the container, and positive arching and consequently a very large coarse contour adaptation stroke. Therefore, a positively supporting adaptation stroke of the bearing elements is achieved. Overturning results in two separate chambers which bring about an inherent progressive damping by effectively reducing streaming through of the substantially incompressible medium.
