  • Publication number: 20230248241
Abstract: Example medical systems for performing treatment under magnetic resonance imaging and related devices, kits, and methods are described. An example medical system includes a first medical device, a second medical device, and a marker. The first medical device is formed of a first material. The first material has a first magnetic susceptibility. The second medical device is formed of a second material. The second material has a second magnetic susceptibility. The marker is disposed on the second medical device and is formed of a third material. The third material has a third magnetic susceptibility that is different than the first magnetic susceptibility and the second magnetic susceptibility.

  • Publication number: 20220218389
Abstract: Example medical devices for performing treatment under magnetic resonance imaging and related methods are described. An example medical device includes a cannula and a plug. The cannula has a proximal end, a distal end, a first portion, a second portion, and a main body that defines a lumen and a passageway. The first portion extends from the distal end toward the proximal end. The second portion extends from the first portion toward the proximal end. The first portion is formed of first material. The second portion is formed of a second material that is different than the first material. The plug is disposed within the passageway and has a main body that defines a passageway in fluid communication with the lumen defined by the cannula. The plug is formed of a third material that is different than the second material.

  • Publication number: 20220218392
Abstract: Example access devices, treatment devices, and kits useful in performing treatment under magnetic resonance imaging and related methods are described. An example access device includes an elongate tubular member formed of an MRI compatible material and moveable between a first, unexpanded configuration and a second, expanded configuration. The elongate tubular member has a central lengthwise axis, a proximal end, a distal end, an axial length, and a main body that defines a circumferential wall, a lumen, a proximal opening, a distal opening, and a main body opening. The main body opening is arranged in a spiral relative to the lengthwise axis and extends circumferentially along the circumferential wall. The main body opening extends along the entire axial length of the elongate tubular member from the proximal end to the distal end.

  • Publication number: 20220218317
Abstract: Example tissue removal devices and kits useful in performing treatment under magnetic resonance imaging and related methods are described. An example tissue removal device includes an elongate member and a tubular member partially disposed over the elongate member. The elongate member has a lengthwise axis and a main body that defines a lumen, a proximal portion, a coil member, and a sharp edge. The coil member extends around a portion of the lengthwise axis in a first direction. The coil member extends from the away from the lengthwise axis and away from the proximal portion. The tubular member has a proximal end, a distal end, and a main body that defines a lumen and a slot. The slot extends from the distal end of the tubular member toward the proximal end of the tubular member. The slot is sized to receive a portion of the coil member.
