    Abstract: A fluid level sensor for sensing a level of a fluid within a toroid-shaped tank includes a float ring, a float structure, a gauge shaft, and a tiller arm. The float ring rotate s within the toroid-shaped tank about a first rotational axis. The float structure exhibits buoyancy in the fluid disposed within the toroid-shaped tank and supplies a force to the float ring based on the level of the fluid within the toroid-shaped tank. The gauge shaft is mounted for rotation about a second rotational axis and rotates about the second rotational axis to a position representative of the level of the fluid within the toroid-shaped tank. The tiller arm supplies the rotational drive force to the gauge shaft when the float ring rotates.

In an embodiment, a method for non-destructive evaluation of a machine-riveted bearing includes positioning a first plurality of sensors in the region of interest, the first plurality of acoustic sensors being provided in a phased array, positioning a second plurality of sensors in the region of interest, the second plurality of sensors being provided in a phased array, inducing a vibration in the region of interest using the first plurality of sensors and receiving a resonance frequency spectra using the second plurality of sensors, and comparing the received resonance frequency spectra against a reference spectra to determine the presence of an anomaly in the region of interest.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a bearing cage comprising a centrifugal lubricant catcher and axial grooves for improved pilot surface lubrication. The centrifugal lubricant catcher may be a lip running circumferentially around one edge of the inner surface of the bearing cage and the axial grooves extend axially from the edge of the centrifugal lubricant catcher across the inner surface of the bearing cage. During operation, lubricant is captured by the lubricant catcher and centrifugally distributed to the piloting surfaces by the axial grooves. A method for using the bearing cage of the present invention is also provided.

    Abstract: A bearing assembly comprising a centrifugal debris trap for removing contamination debris from lubrication fluid prior to lubrication of the bearing assembly components is provided. The centrifugal debris trap comprises an annular groove on an inner race such that with sufficient centrifugal force, contamination debris in the lubrication oil is forced into the groove and held there. Removal of contamination debris from the lubrication oil prevents damage to bearing balls and races of the bearing assembly, thus reducing bearing fatigue. A method for lubricating bearing assembly components using the bearing assembly of the present invention is also provided.
