Abstract: A browser plug-in application provides functionality to allow the creation of a multiple window browser interface environment. By way of example, when the plug-in is activated, each time a user selects a URL to retrieve a new web document, the plug-in displays a new browser window in addition to the existing browser window within a single instance of the web browser application, as opposed to displaying the new browser window in place of the existing browser window. The plug-in, thus, permits users to dynamically view multiple web documents in a side-by-side or tiled fashion in a single instance of the browser application.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for providing users of web-accessible E-mail services with improved access to their E-mail messages and other information. In a first embodiment, a SPAM-control feature of a web-accessible electronic mail service is provided to a user of a mail-enabled application running on the user's client machine by software which integrates with the mail-enabled application. The software scans E-mail messages for a bulk-indicating indicia inserted by SPAM detection software running on a remote machine, and an E-mail message identified as including such bulk-indicating indicia is routed to a bulk folder.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for providing users of web-accessible E-mail services with improved access to their E-mail messages and other information. In one embodiment, access to a search tool is provided to users of a web-accessible electronic mail service by software which integrates with a mail-enabled application running on a user's client machine. The software displays a field within a user interface of the mail-enabled application for receiving user input of a search term. The search term is used to build a URL that is communicated to a web-accessible E-mail service. A browser is launched to display at least one page resulting from the communication of the URL.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing dynamic dialogs, used with a downloadable toolbar for an Internet browser. In an embodiment of the invention an add-on browser toolbar, which may be implemented as a downloadable toolbar application that adds functionality to a Web browser, receives downloadable toolbar data that comprises dialog display data. In response to an event that calls for the display of a dialog, a dialog object is created and the dialog display data is loaded in the dialog object and then displayed to the user.

Abstract: A system and method of launching an application from a button of a browser is disclosed, and includes providing one or more buttons, used with a downloadable toolbar for an Internet browser, which are configured to launch an external application. The method comprises associating the application to be launched with an identification code, pre-configuring the client with the identification code and information necessary to launch the application, and transmitting a plurality of button characteristics which define button behavior. In the case of launching an external application, button characteristics comprise at least the application identification code.

Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides for one or more miniature-browser buttons, used with a downloadable toolbar for an Internet browser. The method may comprise sending downloadable toolbar characteristics from a predetermined Internet site, which includes miniature-browser button characteristics, creating a miniature-browser button in the downloadable toolbar and loading the miniature-browser button using the miniature-browser button characteristics.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for integrated macro-frameworks that can be called by the object oriented software code to provide a consistent and efficient graphical presentation. The frameworks are macro-functions that can be utilized by various applications and are such that within each application and from application to application there is a consistency in the presentation of information and how information is entered and retrieved. The frameworks also provide for efficient operations of the application as well as efficient access of database tables. The frameworks can also provide an efficient and consistent means for developing a graphical user interface navigation function for navigating through various screens of a given application.

The present invention delivers, tracks, presents and manages various aspects of customer care using a customer centric paradigm. Abstract: An embodiment of the invention, for controlling a context menu, used with a Web page, wherein the Web page is divided into regions, can comprise downloading additional menu items that are not part of the context menu prior to download, and monitoring for when a user calls for a context menu. Upon detecting a context menu call, it is determined what region was selected by the user, and at least one of the additional menu items is made available to the user as part of the context menu interface. At least one of the additional menu items is chosen based on the region selected by the user.

Abstract: Methods and systems for managing and analyzing multi-dimensional data are provided. Example embodiments provide a Meta-Object Data Management System “MODMS,” which enables users to arrange and to rearrange the hierarchical relationships of the data on an ad-hoc basis and allows the data to be analyzed using any set of attributes (dimensions) while the system is running. The MODMS represents heterogeneous data in a normalized (standardized) fashion using an object type management system that allows the arbitrary coercion of one type of object into another different type of object and automatically resolves attribute dependencies. In one embodiment, the MODMS comprises an object type management subsystem; a meta-object instantiation subsystem; one or more data repositories that hold, for example, the data used to populate objects and object type definitions; and an input/output interface.
