  • Patent number: 11939571
Abstract: Expressing guide nucleic acids (e.g., gRNA) from the same oligonucleotide that contains donor sequence permits the high efficiency, simultaneous transformation of a population of cells with both substrates. Using oligonucleotide chip array technology, one can construct thousands of oligonucleotides with customized gRNA and donor sequence in a cost effective manner. In combination, one can efficiently modify endogenous and exogenous genes.

  • Publication number: 20240096513
Abstract: One example includes a MOT system. The system includes first optical source configured to provide a plurality of first optical beams parallel to a central axis associated with the MOT system, and a first set of optics configured to focus the first optical beams to the central axis through a trapping region comprising a vapor of atoms. The system also includes a second optical source configured to provide a plurality of second optical beams parallel to the central axis associated with the MOT system, and a second set of optics configured to focus the second optical beams to the central axis through the trapping region. Each of the second optical beams can be coaxial with a respective one of the first optical beams, such that each of the first optical beams is counterpropagating with a respective one of the second optical beams.

  • Patent number: 8186571
Abstract: A cup sling is a carrier for a frusto-conical container that is a sleeve with straps for retaining and carrying the container. The sleeve defines an opening to receive the cup. The sleeve is cut in such a manner so that, when the top portion and the bottom portion of the sleeve are twisted in opposite directions, the center portion will form two loops, or straps, that will extend out to the sides of the container. These straps can be retained above the container to hold the container in a generally vertical position allowing the user to hang the container from a finger or hook. In addition, the user can tote the container in the cup sling while using the hand concurrently to hold or tote other items.
