  • Patent number: 11988573
Abstract: A method is provided for determining a location to place a mass on a wheel assembly. A first set of acceleration data is collected from a plurality of inertial measurement units (IMU's) that are mounted to a removably attachable object that is attached to a wheel of the vehicle in a manner that inhibits the object from coming off of the vehicle when the vehicle is in motion. The first set of acceleration data is collected while operating the vehicle at a first speed. The first set of acceleration data is used to determine an offset between a center of the object and a bearing center of the wheel assembly. A second set of acceleration data is collected from the plurality of inertial measurement units (IMU's). The second set of acceleration data is collected while operating the vehicle at second speed that is greater than the first speed.

  • Patent number: 11978680
Abstract: A microelectronic chip device includes a semiconductor substrate and multiple on-chip strain sensors (OCSSs) constructed on the substrate at various locations of the substrate. The OCSSs may each include multiple piezoresistive devices configured to sense a strain at a location of the various locations and produce a strain signal representing the strain at that location. A strain measurement circuit may also be constructed on the semiconductor substrate and configured to measure strain parameters from the strain signals produced by the OCSSs. The strain parameters represent the strains at the various location. Values of the strain parameters can be used for analysis of mechanical stress on the chip device.

Abstract: In some examples, a first device includes multiple fixed first cameras and a movable second camera. A processor is configured to receive, from at least one of the fixed first cameras, a plurality of first images of an airspace corresponding to an area of operation of an unmanned aerial vehicle, and detect, based at least on the first images, a candidate object approaching or within the airspace. Based on detecting the candidate object, the processor controls a movable second camera to direct a field of view of the movable second camera toward the candidate object. Based on one or more second images from the movable second camera captured at a first location and one or more third images from a third camera captured at a second location, the processor may determine that the candidate object is an object of interest and perform at least one action.

  • Publication number: 20240082466
Abstract: A dialysis machine includes a user interface for providing visual information and/or spoken information to a user. For example, in some implementations, the user interface may be configured to provide visual information related to an action, such as showing the action being partially or fully completed, and a speaker can provide spoken instructions to assist the user in machine set-up, calibration and/or operation. Such instructions can be particularly useful in a home dialysis setting. In some implementations, the speaker can provide spoken alarms that are related to alarm conditions. The spoken alarms may include patient and/or dialysis machine identifying information. The verbosity of the spoken instructions and/or the spoken alarms may be adjustable, and both may be accompanied by visual information displayed by the dialysis machine (e.g. visual alarms, images and/or video).

  • Patent number: 11921966
Abstract: Systems and methods related to intelligent typing and responses using eye-gaze technology are disclosed herein. In some example aspects, a dwell-free typing system is provided to a user typing with eye-gaze. A prediction processor may intelligently determine the desired word or action of the user. In some aspects, the prediction processor may contain elements of a natural language processor. In other aspects, the systems and methods may allow quicker response times from applications due to application of intelligent response algorithms. For example, a user may fixate on a certain button within a web-browser, and the prediction processor may present a response to the user by selecting the button in the web-browser, thereby initiating an action. In other example aspects, each gaze location may be associated with a UI element. The gaze data and associated UI elements may be processed for intelligent predictions and suggestions.

  • Patent number: 11891347
Abstract: Improved alkylation catalysts, alkylation methods, and methods of making alkylation catalysts are described. The alkylation method comprises reaction over a solid acid, zeolite-based catalyst and can be conducted for relatively long periods at steady state conditions. The alkylation catalyst comprises a crystalline zeolite structure, a Si/Al molar ratio of 20 or less, less than 0.5 weight percent alkali metals, and further having a characteristic catalyst life property. Some catalysts may contain rare earth elements in the range of 10 to 35 wt %. One method of making a catalyst includes a calcination step following exchange of the rare earth element(s) conducted at a temperature of at least 575° C. to stabilize the resulting structure followed by an deammoniation treatment. An improved method of deammoniation uses low temperature oxidation.
