  • Publication number: 20200190136
Abstract: A method for generating a dimerization and/or degradation moiety for a first protein and a second protein, where the method includes (a) generating, in silico a set of poses by docking a first protein, and a second protein, (b) generating a subset of poses by selecting one or more poses from the set of poses based on the scores of the poses, (c) identifying a candidate pose from the subset of poses based on the spatial relationship between the two proteins, (d) designing a linker between the first ligand and the second ligand that accommodates the candidate pose, and (e) synthesizing or having synthesized the dimerization and/or degradation moiety having the first ligand, the second ligand, and the linker.

  • Publication number: 20200079450
Abstract: An adjusting device is proposed for adjusting a first component and a second component of a passenger or freight transport vehicle relative to each other, wherein the two components are arranged adjacent to each other to form a gap. The device includes a base body, an adjusting element mounted in the base body and movable along a first axis and an actuating body mounted in the base body and movable along a second axis which cooperates with the adjusting element such that the movement of the adjusting element along the first axis converted into a movement of the actuating body and/or the adjusting element along the second axis; and a fixing device for fixing the adjusting element and the actuating body in a selectable position. The invention also relates to a passenger or freight transport vehicle with such a device.

  • Patent number: 8857986
Abstract: A measurement instrument and its associated method of use to record a pupil center position of a person's eye and determine rear vertex distance to a lens. The instrument has a chassis and a free swinging assembly that is pivotably attached to the chassis. The swinging assembly has alignment points that remain in a horizontal plane as the swinging assembly swings. The instrument is attached to a set of eyeglass that are worn on that person's head. A prism is suspended adjacent the eye. The pupil is viewed through the prism. The offset of the viewed image is measured and used to calculate the rear vertex distance.

  • Publication number: 20140142456
Abstract: A patient manager provides activity recommendations to a patient based on monitored data. The patient manager monitors personal, environmental, and external data to identify baseline and personal best thresholds to determine appropriate activity recommendations for a patient that is trying to manage a disease such as asthma. A personal monitor measures a peak flow rate by having the patient blow through the personal monitor. An environmental monitor measures ambient conditions in a room and communicates the conditions with the patient manager. The patient manager also pulls in third-party regional weather information, and generates activity recommendations based on the personal, environmental, and regional information.

  • Patent number: 7540612
Abstract: A measurement instrument and its associated method of use to record a pupil center position of a person's eye. The instrument has a chassis and a free swinging assembly that is pivotably attached to the chassis. The swinging assembly has alignment points that remain in a horizontal plane as the swinging assembly swings. The instrument is attached to a set of eyeglass that are worn on that person's head. While wearing the measuring instrument, a person is made to assume a natural head position for a specific activity. Once a natural head position is found, the swinging assembly is set into a locked position. The pupil center point can then be determined by observing the now locked alignment points from a predetermined vantage point.
