  • Patent number: 11945988
Abstract: A flame retardant product that contains an aqueous solution that includes a hydroxylated carbon-based component, an intumescent agent suitable for at least partially or even completely dehydrating the hydroxylated carbon-based component in such a way as to generate, under the effect of heat, a carbonaceous foam, and a thixotropic agent, selected to have a viscosity that increases as a result of water being added in the absence of shear. The solution has a sufficient concentration of the hydroxylated carbon-based component and the intumescent agent so that an addition of water to said solution increases the viscosity thereof in the absence of shear. The content by weight of the hydroxylated carbon-based component is greater than 10%.

  • Publication number: 20120211308
Abstract: The invention relates to a fork for handling equipment, comprising: a fork arm extending along an arm axis (B), and a trigger (22) mounted on the fork arm such that it can rotate between inoperative and operative positions. The trigger comprises a distal trigger end (26) which, in the inoperative position, defines the distal end of the fork and the trigger is configured such that, when a pressure (FR) is exerted on the distal trigger end along the arm axis (B) in the direction of the fork arm, the trigger tilts from the inoperative position to the operative position.

  • Publication number: 20110186310
Abstract: The present invention provides a sprinkler head for mounting on a pipe of a fire protection system, in particular for dispensing an extinguishing agent, the head comprising: a body having a transfer channel passing therethrough; and an endpiece comprising a base having an outlet channel passing therethrough, and a shutter closing said outlet channel, the endpiece in a “closed” position closing the transfer channel and being suitable for disengaging said transfer channel under the effect of an opening force of less than 1500 N.

  • Publication number: 20100263736
Abstract: The invention relates to a storage and metering device intended for the injection of an additive into a pipe through which a variable-flow-rate liquid flows. The device is characterized in that it includes: a container intended to house the additive and provided with an additive outlet to be connected to the pipe, optionally by means of an injection system; and a differential pressure regulator including a gas inlet to be connected to a gas source, a gas outlet connected to a pressurization inlet of the container so that the container can be pressurized to a pressurization pressure and a control inlet to be connected to the pipe.

  • Publication number: 20060213930
Abstract: A unit including at least one product dispensing device including a container holding the product to be dispensed and a propellant gas, and a valve enabling the product to be dispensed when it is actuated. A fire protection element at least partially surrounds the device, with the protective element including at least one textile layer.

  • Patent number: 5323861
Abstract: Method for protecting an area, in particular against fire, by emission of a cloud of water droplets, comprising at least two of the three successive stages, in an order which is appropriate to the problem faced:a first stage, corresponding to remote fire prevention, in which droplets are emitted which are smaller than 100 micrometers, suitable in particular for rehydrating plants,a second stage, used in proximal prevention, which comprises in addition the emission of droplets of 100 to 300 micrometers, giving a more long lasting mist, and a third stage, for immediate prevention, in which droplets of 300 to 800 micrometers are added to the previous droplets, for a drizzle effect.
