  • Patent number: 11574627
Abstract: Term masking is performed by generating a time-alignment value for a plurality of units of sound in vocal audio content contained in a mixed audio track, force-aligning each of the plurality of units of sound to the vocal audio content based on the time-alignment value, thereby generating a plurality of force-aligned identifiable units of sound, identifying from the plurality of force-aligned units of sound a force-aligned unit of sound to be altered, and altering the identified force-aligned unit of sound.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 19, 2021
Date of Patent: February 7, 2023
    Assignee: Spotify AB
Inventors: Andreas Jansson, Eric J. Humphrey, Rachel Malia Bittner, Sravana K. Reddy

  • Patent number: 10839826
Abstract: A system, method and computer product for extracting an activity from recordings. The method comprises searching for signals representing plural versions of a track, determining feature representations of the plural versions of the track identified in the searching, aligning the feature representations determined in the determining, and extracting a time varying activity signal from the feature representations aligned in the aligning.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 8713593
Abstract: A system and method for detecting a non-visual code using an application on a mobile device, where the application is capable of associating the non-visual code with at least one item contained in a transmitted presentation and connecting the mobile device to information about the item in a database associated with the transmitted presentation. The non-visual code may comprise a high frequency signal played alone or with another audio or video signal. A mobile device application executing on a processor of the mobile device performs signal processing on the audio signal of the presentation to extract the high frequency signal. Also contemplated is obtaining information about the visual content and presenting the information on the personal device.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: April 29, 2014
    Assignee: Zazum, Inc.

  • Publication number: 20120006183
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for extracting rhythmic chroma information from a signal. A method may perform a process for rhythmic event perception, periodicity estimation, and chroma representation. Such a process may be implemented by a digital signal processor. The method may further include time-stretching a music signal so that a rhythm of the music signal matches a rhythm of motion detected by a motion sensor.
