Patent number: 11033988Abstract: Provided is a fabrication square for aligning workpieces. The square includes a triangular shaped base, a first arm, a second arm, and a relief cut where the arms intersect the base. The arms extend away from the base at a 90-degree angle. The base and first arm further include a series of holes that match the hole pattern found on a conventional metal fixture table, while the second arm includes a slot to allow for rotation. The square can be aligned with and attached to the fixture table with one or more fixture stops that secures the square to the table via the holes. The use of the square, fixture stops, and table lock the workpieces in position, which in turn prevents movement before, during, and after welding, thereby increasing fabrication precision.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 2018Date of Patent: June 15, 2021Inventor: Eric Jaffe

A sever whether a shopping command of the shopper has changed an attribute of a primary item in the shopping cart. After the server has determined that the shopping command has changed the attribute of the primary item in the shopping cart, the server identifies a secondary item in the shopping cart linked to the primary item. The server changes a corresponding attribute of the secondary item in response to the change in the attribute of the primary item, wherein the attribute of the primary item is a quantity of the primary item, a color of the primary item, or a size of the primary item.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2006Date of Patent: June 8, 2010Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Dennis Frank Hayes, Stephen Eric Jaffe, Dellena Wyman Priester

Patent number: 7110968Abstract: The invention helps an on-line shopper maintain the proper relationship between primary items in a shopping cart and secondary items in the shopping cart, where secondary items are items that normally accompany the purchase of primary items. The server that provides the on-line shopping service awaits a shopper's commands. When a command is detected that indicates a change in an attribute of a primary item, the server checks the shopper's shopping cart to identify secondary items linked to the primary item whose attribute was changed. If a secondary item linked to the primary item is identified, the server then solicits the shopper's authorization to change a corresponding attribute of the secondary item. If the shopper grants authorization, the server changes the corresponding attribute of the secondary item accordingly. An item's attribute may be the quantity of the item in a shopping cart, the size of the item, the color of the item, the texture of the item, and so forth.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 2001Date of Patent: September 19, 2006Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Dennis Frank Haynes, Stephen Eric Jaffe, Dellena Wyman Priester
