  • Publication number: 20180135426
Abstract: An airfoil including a spar and a cover sheet that are configured for cooling. The spar includes standoffs and a leading edge wall. The standoffs are disposed along a pressure and/or suction side. A pressure-side panel and a suction-side panel are coupled to the standoffs and/or the leading edge wall. Leading ends of the pressure-side panel and the suction-side panel are disposed adjacent to one another proximate to the leading edge. The standoffs extend beyond the pressure-side leading end toward the leading edge wall. At least one of the leading ends of the pressure-side and suction-side panels defines a notch to form an outlet port at the leading edge. Standoffs may be disposed to define grooves in between in communication with the outlet port.

  • Publication number: 20180047070
Abstract: A computerized matching system enable users to utilize video clips to promote and/or find a person/people, place, or consumer item. The system is a recommendation service, embodied preferably in a mobile app, suggesting potential matches for its users. These suggestions are based upon the information and data entered by the users in their user profiles, as well as their Ideal Match Criteria (i.e. what it is they are seeking). The suggestions are also based upon algorithms that analyze and learn from available rating history data to make predictions on potential matches, utilizing rating trends of that user (i.e. the prior ratings entered by that user during their usage of the system while viewing other videos) as well as the rating trends of other users who have rated the same videos in a similar manner (herein referred to as Similar Rating Groups, or SRGs).

  • Patent number: 8429883
Abstract: A lifting girdle apparatus for enhancing the performance of a harness racing horse includes a lifting girdle affixed to a harness and sulky at two points on each side of the horse with a clip that attaches to the harness, behind approximately the front quarter of the horse, and with a securing strap that runs vertically towards and around the shaft of the sulky. The securing strap is preferably made to be adjustable, for example by constructing the securing strap as a belt and utilizing a belt buckle. The ability to adjust the distance between the attachment clips and the lifting girdle allows for a trainer to configure the lifting girdle device apparatus for different sized horses for producing an optimum setting for horses of almost any size.

  • Patent number: 7266509
Abstract: A combination multi-media interactive game and video infomercial acts as an advertising business method wherein a seller of merchandise can combine both an advertising infomercial with a player and/or participant's playing an interactive game. Preferably, the game is a step-by-step strategic or random game, whereby a player and/or participant user starts at an opening “starting point” and proceeds from one interval location to another. At each interval location, the player and/or participant is interactively interfaced with one or more commercial infomercials so that the player-participant can interact with the infomercial by researching, observing and/or demonstrating the use of the products remotely, or, by shopping for the displayed products by Internet. At each infomercial the retail object for sale is related to the predetermined themes of each interval location.

Abstract: A combination multi-media interactive game and video infomercial enables a seller of merchandise to combine an advertising infomercial with a player and/or participant's playing of an interactive game. Preferably, the game is a step-by-step strategic or random game, whereby a player and/or participant starts at an opening starting point and proceeds from one decision point to another. When a player comes to a decision point in the game, they are required to select a product from a group of products that is suitable for the next task that the player must accomplish to advance in the game. This requires that the player research each of the products, thereby acquiring knowledge of the same, and retain the knowledge for later application in the game through selection of the correct product for each task in the game. As the players successfully make their way through the game, they amass point, product discounts, coupons, etc. that can be applied toward the purchase of the products.
