Patent number: 11959698Abstract: An apparatus, system, device, and the like, for a liquid nitrogen dispensing head that may be used in a system for cooling aggregate, such as may be found in a batch plant involved in producing concrete. The dispensing head is positioned over a conveyor belt that conveys aggregate to a mixing apparatus to produce concrete. The head dispenses liquid nitrogen onto the aggregate to cool the aggregate and may include interior chambers separated by one or more baffles. The chambers may reduce the pressure of the liquid nitrogen onto the aggregate in relation to the flow pressure of the liquid nitrogen entering the dispensing head. In another example, an assembly may include sidewalls that extend to the aggregate on either side of the head to form a cooling tunnel through which the aggregate is conveyed and is exposed to the liquid nitrogen being dispensed from the head.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 2021Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: NITROcrete, LLCInventors: Drew R. Nelson, Eric L. Van Dixhorn, John C. Gebhart, Michael R. Schauer

Patent number: 7301846Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing power to a memory array of a computer's memory subsystem, and more particularly power at a level greater than that available through the computer motherboard so as to boost memory performance and operational stability. The apparatus includes a supply device for supplying an input voltage to the memory subsystem at a level that is higher than the power level provided to the memory subsystem by the motherboard. The method entails electrically connecting the supply device to the memory subsystem, and then electrically connecting a power source to the device to deliver the input voltage to the memory subsystem. The additional input voltage supplied to the memory subsystem causes memory chips on memory modules of the memory subsystem to run at higher frequencies, such that the various internal operations of the memory, such as reading and writing, occur more quickly.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 2004Date of Patent: November 27, 2007Assignee: OCZ Technology Group, Inc.Inventors: Ryan M. Patent number: 6530806Abstract: A system for selectively recessing an electrical outlet includes a housing that has an opening. An outlet fixture has at least one receptacle for receiving an electrical plug. A guide within the housing receives the outlet fixture and permits the outlet fixture to be moved within the housing. A latch selectively holds the outlet fixture in a recessed position until the latch is released to permit the outlet fixture to return to a non-recessed position. A method of selectively recessing an electrical outlet includes receiving and inserting a plug into an electrical outlet body within a housing. The electrical outlet body is moved along guides into the housing. The electrical outlet body is stopped at a recessed position within the housing, and the electrical outlet body is restrained in a recessed position. The method further includes selectively returning the electrical outlet body to a position proximate to the front of the housing.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 2002Date of Patent: March 11, 2003Inventor: Eric L. Patent number: 6502748Abstract: A smart card stores secure data, such as monetary values, and selectively transfers the secure data to or receives the secure data from a compatible smart card. The smart card includes a data storage device that stores the secure data. An identification input system receives identification input from a user. Control circuitry is responsive to the identification input to transfer secure data into the data storage device from a compatible smart card or to transfer secure data out of the data storage device to a compatible smart card when the control system determines from the identification input that the transfer is authorized. A data transfer interface in an edge of one card couples directly to a like interface in a slot of the other card to enable the secure data to be transferred between the two cards when the two cards are moved relative to each other.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2002Date of Patent: January 7, 2003Inventors: Jon N. Berg, Eric L. Nelson

Patent number: 4908262Abstract: A toilet seat cover is provided for preventing contact between the human bottocks and the toilet seat when the sheet is disposed and aligned with the toilet seat. A microbiocidal shield is created by the perspiration from the bottocks contacting a water-soluble oxidizing agent along with a water-soluble ene-diol compound dispersed as separate particles in the sheet. The water-soluble oxidizing agent and water-soluble ene-diol compound may be separately microencapsulated by a protective film. Capillary action of the fibers in the sheet provide for conducting free water released during reaction between the water-soluble oxidizing agent and the ene-diol compound throughout the toilet seat cover. Fibers of the sheet are adhesively bonded together within the adhesive that is soluble and dispersible in water to enable the toilet seat cover to be flushed down the toilet after use.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 1988Date of Patent: March 13, 1990Assignee: Nelson Research & Development Co.Inventor: Eric L.
