Abstract: The general field of the invention is that of aircraft cockpit viewing systems including a piece of human-machine interfacing equipment, a piece of data processing equipment and a viewing device. The piece of data processing equipment comprises a database including a plurality of objects and means for computing various displaying windows, each object having a plurality of forms of graphical representation in said windows. The viewing device is arranged to display the displaying windows. The piece of human-machine interfacing equipment includes means for selecting a state of graphical representation of an object in one of the windows. The states of graphical representation of the objects include a “selected” state. When the selection of a state of graphical representation of an object is effective, the computing means of the piece of processing equipment switch all of the various graphical representations of said object in the various windows to this “selected” state.

For example, one embodiment comprises a memory configured to store documents and at least one processor configured to identify a template for generating a document. The template defines at least one field having a specified position and length within the document. The processor is further configured to store a copy of the template to the memory so as to initialize the document and to store characters based on data associated with the field to a location of the memory associated with the field. The processor further stores, based at least in part on the text and the length of the field, one or more indicators of at least one portion of the field to be removed from the document. The system further includes a circuit configured to read the document from the memory and remove the portion of the field based on the indicators.

Abstract: Embodiments include methods and systems for processing XML documents. One embodiment is a system that includes a tokenizer configured to identify tokens in an XML document. A plurality of speculative processing modules are configured to receive the tokens and to at least partially process the XML document and to provide data indicative of the XML document. A first module is configured to perform further processing of the XML document using the data indicative of the XML document and configured to output the processed XML document. Each of the plurality of speculative processing modules is configured to asynchronously provide the data indicative of the XML document to the first module. Other embodiments include method and systems for performing the speculative processing.

Abstract: A method of processing queries, e.g., XPath expressions, related to an XML document includes generating a plurality of tokens based on the contents of the XML document. At least one query expression is compiled to a first plurality of query nodes defining a tree. Each token is processed by looking up the query nodes indexed by a symbol matching the token in one of the plurality of lookup tables, marking each of the related query nodes, and indicating a match if each of the first plurality of query nodes of the at least one query expression is marked.
