Abstract: A mobility device configurable in a first walk configuration and a second stair-climb configuration, including a frame with movable front leg portions, a leg-actuation system connected to the front leg portions and a safety-control device mounted to the frame. The safety-control device includes a configuration selector, and a lever connected to the leg-actuation system and configured to actuate the cable actuation system so as to cause the first and second movable leg portions to move from a first position to a second position. The lever remains locked in a first lever position such that the lever cannot be moved unless the configuration selector is in a depressed position, thereby preventing inadvertent movement of the leg portion.

Abstract: There is described a connecting board for a power supply unit, comprising at least one power converter, at least one filtering unit connected to an input of the at least one power converter, a controller connected to the at least one power converter and the at least one filtering unit, and at least one output pin connected to the output of the at least one power converter. The filtering unit comprises interconnected components each having a resistive or a capacitive value, the resistive or capacitive value controlling at least one operating parameter of the power converter. The controller is configured to adjust the resistive or capacitive value for causing a given one of a plurality of voltages to be produced at an output of the power converter. The output pin is configured to receive the given voltage and to deliver the given voltage to a load.

Abstract: There is described a rectifying circuit and method of control thereof. The circuit comprises four ideal diode elements connected in a bridge configuration; four driver units, each one of the driver units connected to a corresponding one of the ideal diode elements and configured to drive the corresponding one of the ideal diode elements; and a controller connected to the driver units and configured for: acquiring a current measurement flowing across the load and a phase measurement of the source; determining, from the current measurement and the phase measurement, corresponding conducting settings for the four ideal diode elements; and outputting at least one control signal to cause the driver units to drive the ideal diode elements in accordance with the conducting settings.

Abstract: Light units are provided that have a number of different features. In one aspect a light unit comprising a substrate and a display interconnected to the substrate is provided. The substrate includes a power source, a plurality of light elements, a controller operably interconnected to the power source and light elements that activates the light elements to one or more illumination states, and a communications module operably interconnected to the controller and power source. The communications module receives wireless communications and provides information from the wireless communications to the controller, wherein the controller activates the light elements according to information received from the communications module when the communications module receives information related to the activation of the light elements. The substrate layer comprises a power source, a plurality of light elements interconnected to the power source, and a controller interconnected to the power source and light elements. The substrate layer may be formed of flexible material. The controller is operable to activate at least a first light element to a different illumination state relative to at least a second light element. The display layer is interconnected to the substrate, covers at least a substantial portion of the substrate, said contains text and/or graphics covering at least a substantial portion thereof. The display layer may be formed of flexible material. At least one of the light sources is visible through the display layer when the light source is activated. The power source may include a solar cell and/or a battery.

Abstract: A method and system for updating a database structure. The database structure includes a dynamically changing list of control documents. A control document specifies tasks to be performed on the database structure. An agent finds an approved control document on the list such as by looking into a view of control documents. Processing the approved control document includes causing an execution of at least one task on the approved control document. Execution of a such task includes updating of the database structure, and may be implemented by the agent that found the control document or by another agent called by the agent.
