Abstract: An adapter installs on a receiving container aperture to provide a stable base for supporting a common funnel used for transfer of material into the receiving container. Installation on the receiving container aperture is quick and stable by moving the edges of an aperture engagement portion together to allow it to fit inside the receiving container aperture, and then moving the aperture engagement portion edges apart so the outer surface of the aperture engagement portion contacts the inside diameter of the aperture. A spring or a locking mechanism force exerts a continuous outward force to maintain the adapter in the receiving container aperture. The funnel is then supported by holder rings attached to the aperture engagement portion inner surface that are engaged by the funnel stem. The rings are smaller diameter towards the lower part of the fingers to correspond to the funnel stem taper. The adapter thus provides hands-free use of the funnel.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing subscriber load distribution in networks are disclosed. For example, the method receives capacity data and user equipment (UE) resource consumption data from a plurality of devices that process call control signaling messages within the communication network. The method receives a first request from one of the plurality of devices to re-register one or more selected user equipment, and selects at least one available device from the plurality of devices. The method then re-registers the one or more selected user equipment on the at least one available device.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing a distributed subscriber load distribution in networks are disclosed. For example, the method receives capacity data from a plurality of devices, and measures a peak period volume for each of a plurality of registered user equipment that is registered with one of the plurality of devices. The method determines whether a peak period volume of the one device reaches an on-set threshold of the one device, and selects one or more of the plurality of registered user equipment if the on-set threshold of the one device is reached, where a sum of the peak period volumes of the selected one or more plurality of registered user equipment is larger than or equal to a volume of traffic that is in excess of the on-set threshold, or in excess of an off-set threshold of the one device. The method sends a request for the selected one or more plurality of registered user equipment to be re-registered in accordance with the capacity data received from the plurality of devices.

A user-designed application that utilizes at least one high-level API available within a system may be received. The user-designed application may be deployed server-side within the system. The majority voting circuit indicates a set state for the redundant latch circuit based upon a majority of the latches being in the set state and indicating a reset state otherwise. The feedback reset circuit may have inputs connected to the outputs of the latches, and outputs connected to the reset inputs of the latches. The feedback reset circuit may switch at least one latch back to the reset state, from an SEU-induced change to the set state, when at least one other latch remains in the reset state to thereby provide resistance to SEUs.
