  • Patent number: 10459157
Abstract: An optical emitter package is disclosed. The optical emitter package can include a carrier, a switching die, and an optical emitter die mounted to the carrier. The optical emitter die can be directly electrically and mechanically connected to the carrier with a conductive adhesive. An energy storage device can be mounted to the carrier. The energy storage device can be directly electrically and mechanically connected to the carrier with a second conductive adhesive. The carrier can provide electrical communication between the switching die, the optical emitter die, and the energy storage device.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 11, 2017
Date of Patent: October 29, 2019
    Assignee: Analog Devices, Inc.
Inventors: Eric P. Chojnacki, Michael J. Zylinski, Erik D. Barnes

  • Patent number: 7036372
Abstract: An oscillatory rate sensor is described for sensing rotation about the “z-axis”. It is tuning-fork in nature with structural linkages and dynamics such that fundamental anti-phase oscillation of two proof masses is accomplished by virtue of the mechanical linkages.

  • Patent number: 5317234
Abstract: A mode trap to trap and absorb transverse modes formed by a beam in a linear accelerator includes a waveguide having a multiplicity of electrically conductive (preferably copper) irises and rings, each iris and ring including an aperture, and the irises and rings being stacked in a side-by-side, alternating fashion such that the apertures of the irises and rings are concentrically aligned. An absorbing material layer such as a dielectric is embedded in each iris and ring, and this absorbing material layer encircles, but is circumferentially spaced from its respective aperture. Each iris and ring includes a plurality of circumferentially spaced slots around its aperture and extending radially out toward its absorbing material layer.
