  • Patent number: 10071780
Abstract: A narrow gauge two-wheeled trailer mounted on spaced apart elongated beams and split axles is stabilized against rolling or tilting about the longitudinal axis with a leaf spring suspension and a universal joint coupling. The split axles are mounted on an axle arms pivoted to the beams and supported by leaf springs configured to lengthen or shorten along the beams. The universal joint coupling permits pitch and yaw movement of the trailer but resists rolling.

  • Patent number: 7743716
Abstract: A motorized elevator unit for adjusting the height of counter tops has right and left elevator assemblies under control of a primary control switch. Each elevator assembly includes top and bottom frames which may be formed from T-slotted framing with the top frame sliding vertically along the bottom frame on rollers received in the bottom frame. A movable counter top is mounted on the top frames and a motor drive assembly raises and lowers the top frames in unison. The elevator unit may be housed in a standard base cabinet and may be integrated with other standard base cabinets having stationary counter tops.

  • Patent number: 5136896
Abstract: A rotary indexing apparatus includes a housing and an indexing member in the form of a plate mounted for rotation in the housing. Locating pins are received in apertures in the indexing plate to effectively lock the indexing plate and an affixed spindle in an indexed position. The apparatus also includes a rotary cylinder assembly including a pair of diametrically opposed rotary vanes mounted for reciprocation within a cavity formed in the housing. A partition plate divides the cavity into two separate compartments with each of the compartments divided by the rotary vane into a pair of variable volume chambers. Each of the rotary vanes also includes a piston assembly having an integral indexing pin that may be selectively extended into the apertures in the indexing plate thereby displacing the locating pins. A pressurized fluid source is provided to displace the rotary vanes through a selected angle and thereby index the indexing plate and attached spindle in the desired manner.

  • Patent number: 5111562
Abstract: A spindle apparatus for holding a workpiece for machining includes a stationary support structure and preferably multiple rotary spindle members for holding individual workpieces. Each rotary spindle member is mounted in a spindle carriage that is rotatably mounted to the stationary support structure. As the spindle carriage is rotated on the support structure, the spindle members move in an orbital path. A rotary indexing apparatus is provided for rotatably driving the spindle members and the spindle carriage. The indexing apparatus is connected to a transmission including a fixed center gear as well as planetary gears and spindle member drive gears for each spindle member. A piston assembly received in each spindle member engages and holds a distal end of the workpiece and allows for the axial advancing of any selected incremental length of the workpiece through the rotary spindle member for machining.

  • Patent number: 4876787
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for fabricating frame walls from end plates and studs. The apparatus includes a mechanism for the length-wise feeding of the end plates into registration position. An additional mechanism is provided for feeding a stud into registration position between the end plates. A nailer tacks the end plates and stud together in proper registration while maintaining clearance between the end plates for subsequent positioning of another stud in registration. After the positioning and tacking of an additional stud or studs, a staking and anchoring mechanism presses the plates and first stud fully together so as to rigidify the frame walls. As an additional feature of the present invention, the operations of the apparatus are controlled by a microprocessor controller. This controller is programmed to produce wall frames corresponding to each individual wall to be constructed throughout a building.
