  • Publication number: 20240143024
Abstract: An example method is performed at a device with a display and a biometric sensor. While the device is in a locked state, the method includes displaying a log-in user interface that is associated with logging in to a first and second user account. While displaying the log-in user interface, the method includes, receiving biometric information, and in response to receiving the biometric information: when the biometric information is consistent with biometric information for the first user account and the first user account does not have an active session, displaying a prompt to input a log-in credential for the first user account; and when the biometric information is consistent with biometric information for the second user account and the second user account does not have an active session on the device, displaying a prompt to input a log-in credential for the second user account.

  • Patent number: 11702302
Abstract: A method for automated unloading of items from a container includes moving a nose ramp of an unloader under a base belt, which is positioned over a floor of the container. A stack of items are located in the container over the base belt. The method includes removing items from a bottom of the stack of items via an extraction conveyor of the unloader. The method also includes measuring a density of items transitioning onto the extraction conveyor from the base belt. The method further includes controlling an unloader advance speed relative to the container in dependence of the measured density of items transitioning onto the extraction conveyor. Thereby, a bulk flow of items having a substantially steady density is delivered by an output conveyor of the unloader positioned downstream of the extraction conveyor.

  • Patent number: 9415423
Abstract: System, methods, and computer-readable media. A method performed by a mail sorter includes receiving a plurality of mailpieces in an input of the sorter. The method includes performing a buffered sort process by transporting the mailpieces along a plurality of transport lanes, each transport lane having an output tray and a buffer, from the input to respective buffers and output trays on the transport lanes, but not transporting mailpieces from the input to an output tray on a selected transport lane. The method includes transporting mailpieces from the buffer to the output tray on the selected transport lane during the buffered sort process. The method includes selecting a new selected transport lane of the plurality of transport lanes. The method includes repeating the buffered sort process and the transporting mailpieces from the buffer to the output tray on the selected transport lane.

  • Publication number: 20100088156
Abstract: A system and method for delivering surveys to mobile device users. Surveys are delivered to mobile device users based on the user's participation in a survey group. The surveys may be delivered with media such as a song, movie, television, or other video or audio clip asking the user to rate or provide feedback on the media. A method of providing a survey to communication devices includes receiving, at a server, a survey from a survey provider, defining, at the server, a survey group from a group of users, the survey group being defined by a topic in the survey, transmitting the survey from the server to a plurality of communication devices corresponding to the survey group, displaying the survey on each of the plurality of communication devices corresponding to the survey group, and transmitting survey responses from at least one of the plurality of communication devices to the server.

  • Publication number: 20100088157
Abstract: A system and method for adjusting the frequency of content delivery to a communication device based on the frequency of a user's interaction with the communication device. A method of scheduling and displaying content on a communication device includes collecting data representing a user's interaction with the communication device, transmitting the data from the communication device to a scheduler, assigning the communication device to a use category, the use category assigned based on the number of interactions the user has with the communication device during a period of time, transmitting a signal to the scheduler upon an interaction with the communication device, incrementing a counter at the remote scheduler upon receiving the signal, and periodically displaying content on the communication device based on the use category and the counter.

  • Publication number: 20090228361
Abstract: A computer-based method of scheduling creative assets for targeted distribution of a plurality of campaigns to a plurality of communications devices. The method includes receiving, at the database, an age code, a gender code, and a postal code corresponding to a user of each of the plurality of communications devices. The method also includes receiving, at the database, a campaign attribute for a plurality of campaigns, querying a targeting engine to obtain a number of impressions that satisfy the campaign attribute for each of the plurality of campaigns, receiving, at the database, a creative asset for each of the plurality of campaigns. The method also includes receiving, at the database, a business rule or a constraint for each of the plurality of campaigns, and creating a schedule for the plurality of campaigns based on the user profile data, the campaign attributes, the business rules or the constraints.

  • Publication number: 20080305781
Abstract: A system for targeting communications devices with content from service providers, third party content providers, sponsors, promotional partners and advertisers. The invention matches the content with communications device users using customer profiles or device usage profiles and transmits the content to communications devices over a wireless network, via the internet, or other means. The communications devices store the content in an internal repository. The content is later displayed as a result of triggers by designated users' actions. The content is displayed in the unused space of communications devices, between a designated user action and the actuation of an intended event or function. Media or content displayed when a triggering action occurs may be cached and stored in the repository or may be delivered in real time.
