  • Publication number: 20240014760
Abstract: An electric motor for a pump includes an AC line-in node for receiving AC power supplied to the electric motor. The electric motor includes a current sensor coupled to the AC line-in node and measures current supplied to the electric motor. The electric motor includes a motor controller configured to convert the AC power supplied to a variable frequency variable voltage power for driving the electric motor at a normal output value. The motor controller includes a microcontroller and an inverter. The microcontroller is coupled to the current sensor and receives a measured value of the current supplied to the electric motor, determines the measured value is above a threshold, and transmits a control signal representing a reduced output value. The inverter receives the control signal and generates the variable frequency variable voltage power to reduce output from the electric motor according to the reduced output value.

Abstract: An apparatus for a split axle includes a split axle of a vehicle with a first shaft and a second shaft. The first shaft includes a sleeve and the second shaft includes an inserted portion that is inserted into the sleeve of the first shaft. The inserted portion is rotatable within the sleeve. The apparatus includes a locking mechanism that includes a locked state and an unlocked state. The first shaft and the second shaft rotate together at a same speed when the locking mechanism is in the locked state and the first shaft and the second shaft rotate independently when the locking mechanism is in the unlocked state.

  • Publication number: 20180325093
Abstract: This disclosure includes pest-management assemblies (e.g., capture stations, entrance assemblies, and combinations thereof), such as, for example, those that permit a rodent to enter and become trapped (e.g., via adhesive, a snap-trap, and/or being prevented from exiting the assemblies). For example, some embodiments of the present pest-management assemblies comprise a capture station and an entrance assembly comprising a door having a first end and a second end, an entranceway comprising a sidewall defining an opening through which a pest can enter the capture station, and a lip positioned such that it is interior to the capture station, where the lip of the entranceway has an upper edge disposed farther from a floor of the pest-management assembly than the second end of the door when the door is in the closed configuration, the lip positioned such that the lip does not obstruct the door from moving to the open configuration.

  • Patent number: 9808095
Abstract: A bed covering device for protecting humans, animals and objects from crawling pests such as bed bugs. The device includes a top component for contacting the top surface of bedding such as a mattress or box spring. The top component includes barrier material suitable for preventing pests from biting humans or animals resting on the bedding. The device further includes a fitted side skirt joined to the periphery of the top component and having a slippery, i.e., low friction, exterior surface that hinders bed bugs and similar pests from climbing up the covered bedding and gaining access to humans, animals, or objects resting atop the bedding. The device may be part of a system including pillow protectors, headboard and/or footboard protectors for preventing contact by traditional bed coverings with walls or bed structures that may be infested by bed bugs.
