Abstract: An apparatus includes a base having a horizontal member and a vertical member substantially perpendicular to each other and wherein the horizontal member and the vertical member are substantially rectangular in shape, a first stop on a distal end of the horizontal member and a second stop on a distal end of the vertical member and wherein the horizontal member has a second end on the opposite side of the vertical member from the first stop and wherein a bottom edge of the second end is substantially aligned with a bottom edge of the horizontal member.

Abstract: A method includes receiving a first input identifying a first component of a deck plan, displaying the first component on a screen forming an initial interim deck plan, receiving a second input identifying a second component of a deck plan, placing the second component in a desired location relative to the first component wherein the second component is visible on the screen during the placing step forming an updated interim deck plan, wherein the interim deck plan comprises a double board along a perimeter or partial perimeter of the deck plan and a plurality of posts, each post positioned along the perimeter or partial perimeter of the deck plan equidistant from each other.

Abstract: A system for a waterproof deck may include connecting members, gaskets, and deck boards. The deck boards may be secured to a decking frame via the connecting members. The gaskets may be attached to the connecting members between the boards to create a waterproof seal. The system may also include draining devices to guide water to a desired location. Abstract: A device for anchoring a post to a supporting surface is disclosed. In one embodiment, the device comprises a base member and post mounting plate, the post mounting plate comprising a post-facing seat, the base member and post mounting plate comprising a plurality of first openings, each such first opening for accepting and accommodating a fastener for attaching the device to a post, and a plurality of second openings, each such second opening for accepting and accommodating a fastener for attaching the device to a supporting surface. Each first opening is disposed to accept a fastener, such as a screw, at an upwardly inclined angle and, further, at a laterally displaced offset angle. The device orients and positions a plurality of fasteners within the post in a configuration wherein the fasteners are disposed angularly about, and offset from, a central, vertical axis in a preferably non-intersecting arrangement.

Abstract: A decking panel apparatus and system and method of installing the same. The decking panel apparatus is typically a planar polygonal body having an upper surface and a lower surface. The upper surface typically includes one or more elongated channels thereby simulating the appearance of individual deck boards as with conventional decks, the channels including bridge tabs having through holes. The body further includes two parallel sides that are perpendicular to the channels and two parallel sides that are parallel to the channels. The parallel sides have a tapered profile and half bridge tabs having through holes. In another embodiment, the parallel sides include an elongated slot that can receive a separate fastener that fits into the elongated slot and an elongated slot of an adjacent panel. The fastener includes a screw hole for connection into the joists.
