  • Patent number: 6465985
Abstract: In an arrangement (1) which firstly includes charging current generation means (2), which have a first output terminal (9) and a second output terminal (10), and which secondly includes rechargeable energy storage means (2) connected to the second output terminal (10), which rechargeable energy storage means (2) can be recharged with the charging current (IL) and which thirdly includes load means (3) which can be connected to the second output terminal (10), which load means (3) can be supplied with power from the energy storage means (2), the load means (3) and the energy storage means (2) form a series combination (SC) between the first output terminals (9) and a second a second output terminal (10).

  • Publication number: 20020043957
Abstract: In a device (1) with a housing (2) and a rechargeable battery (5) accommodated in the housing (2), the rechargeable battery (5) lies at least with a portion (28) thereof inside a secondary coil (9) of a transformer (10) of charging means (8), while preferably magnetic field shielding means (29) are provided which are arranged parallel to the rechargeable battery (5), which lie with a portion (30) thereof inside the secondary coil (9), and by means of which the magnetic field permeating the secondary coil (9) can be concentrated and thus be kept away from the rechargeable battery (5).

  • Patent number: 5568040
Abstract: Apparatus for the time controlled charge of a battery includes a switching device to control the supply of charge current to the battery. The switching device is in turn controlled by a control device including a time signal generation stage having a temperature sensitive device responsive to the ambient temperature of the apparatus so as to adjust the time signal generation stage to alter the battery charge time in a sense to prevent overcharging of the battery.

  • Patent number: 4486697
Abstract: A reversing device for a two-pole single-phase synchronous motor (3) without a starting coil. The motor comprises a diametrically magnetized permanent-magnet rotor having a shaft that runs against elastic stops for reversing the direction of rotation, and a capacitor arranged in series with the stator exciter coil. The capacitor serves for improving the reversing operation and is dimensioned so that its reactance at the AC supply frequency is greater than the reactance of the exciter coil of the synchronous motor.
