  • Patent number: 5600544
Abstract: To improve a shielding effect of shielding metal sheets of a backplane plug connector, the sheets are designed to be closed and are provided on inner surfaces with contact spring strips which can make contact with a shielding housing of a plug-on cable plug.

  • Patent number: 5563972
Abstract: A backplane printed circuit board is metalized on its outer side with a shielding layer on which a metal body is applied over a large area, and the metal body has an aperture for the plug connection. A shielding sleeve, which covers over the plug parts of the plug connection in the manner of a cap, is screwed into the aperture of the metal body. Thus, the module frame is hence shielded against the penetration of interfering radiation.

  • Patent number: 5511992
Abstract: A cable plug enclosed by a shielding housing can be plugged onto a plug connector of a backplane printed circuit board. The shielding housing can make contact with shielding metal sheets arranged along the long sides of the plug connector. The shielding metal sheets are extended beyond the contact-making region and form guiding sections into which are cut, starting from the top edge, guiding slots for hook-like guiding lugs of the shielding housing (11). The shielding metal sheets, the guiding slots and the guiding lugs engage around one another alternately in such a way that the cable plug is held on the backplane printed circuit board in an approximately rigid manner.
