  • Patent number: 8267264
Abstract: A device, method and system for automatic calibration of a container crane, the container crane being controlled by a system including a first sensor (LPS) and/or a second sensor (TPS), are provided. A calibration rig is arranged in a fixed position and includes a plurality of markers, each arranged at a known and fixed position and distance relative to one another. The markers may include a first marker with a first visual appearance, or active marker and/or a second marker with a second visual appearance, or passive marker. The active marker is preferably an illumination source, such as an IR source. A method for calibrating a container crane using the calibration device and a container control system including the calibration device and one or more computer programs are also described.

  • Patent number: 8090470
Abstract: A method for optimizing the position of a plurality of containers in a block, including at least one crane configured to move the containers is provided. A crane control unit (CCU) is provided in which the following steps are performed: identifying a selected container to be moved from a current position CP within a sub-section of said block to a new position NP within the sub-section; calculating a number of container moves required facilitating the move of the selected container in previous step; arranging the required number of container moves in a queue for each crane; and performing the container moves as arranged in the queue by controlling said at least one crane. Also provided is a computer program, a computer-readable medium encoded with the computer program, and a system for optimizing the position of a plurality of containers in a block.

  • Patent number: 4065652
Abstract: Arrangement in a selector, especially in a crossbar selector, comprising a number of contact spring sets arranged parallel to each other in a contact frame, wherein the contact spring sets, when operated, make contact with a contact multiple common to the sets. The contact springs are provided with elongated transverse contact surfaces and the contact multiple is made up of rod-shaped contact elements which are transversally attached to conductors. The conductors run across the contact frame parallel to the contact surfaces of the contact springs.

  • Patent number: 3993883
Abstract: The present invention relates to a contact spring set comprising contact springs and a lifting card, attached at the outer ends of the contact springs between an upper return spring and a lower return spring. In order to achieve a playless fixing of the lifting card to at least one of the return springs, which allows for a simple fitting of the lifting card, the return spring is flat and provided with two pairs of tabs, which are bent in such a way that adjacent tabs point in opposite directions. The lifting card has a hole for the return spring which is constituted by two portions, substantially equal and displaced relative to a symmetry line through the center of the lifting card, which is perpendicular to the plane of the return spring. The contour of each hole portion has at least one straight side, these straight sides being parallel and having a distance corresponding to the thickness of the return spring and a combined overall length corresponding to the width of the return spring.

  • Patent number: 3936781
Abstract: Selecting device for crossbar switches of the type where selecting wires are actuated by selecting bars, which execute twisting movements by means of selecting bar magnets, for selection of predetermined contact groups. After selection, these contact groups can be actuated by lifting devices, which move in a direction mainly parallel to the selecting bars, on operation of bridge magnets, due to transfer of the movements of the lifting device to the contact groups via the actuated selecting wires. According to the invention the selecting wires are flexible and bent to a symmetrical loop with two legs. Each selecting wire is movably supported in such a manner that it encircles the respective selecting bar and the legs can swing around an axis mainly parallel to said axis of rotation of the selecting bar. Inner and outer stops are arranged such that the legs, when not actuated, rest against the inner stops and, when actuated, are pressed against the outer stops.
