  • Patent number: 11566466
Abstract: The acoustic shutter assembly (1) includes at least one window pane (2, 3) arranged in a frame (4). At least one ventilation duct (7) is arranged in the frame between an outer ventilation opening (8) and an inner ventilation opening (9), extending between a first layer of sound absorbing material arranged at an inside (5) and a second layer of sound absorbing material arranged at an outside. A number of acoustic reflectors (12) in the form of plate material are arranged between the first and second layers of sound absorbing material so that the ventilation duct is separated into a number of respective ventilation channels (13) formed between the acoustic reflectors. Each ventilation channel changes direction at least once between the outer ventilation opening and the inner ventilation opening, thereby at least substantially blocking any linear path from the outer ventilation opening to the inner ventilation opening.

  • Patent number: 8819353
Abstract: The present disclosure includes methods and systems that share memory located on one PCIe based HBA across other PCIe based HBAs in the system. In addition, the backup battery is effectively shared across multiple PCIe based HBAs in the system. This approach saves significant costs by avoiding the need to have a separate DRAM with its own dedicated battery backup on each HBA board in the system. This also allows the redundant memory and backup batteries to be removed while still retaining the same functionality through the common DDR3 memory chip and battery backup shared across multiple HBAs in the system. The component cost for batteries and memory, management module, board space, and the board manufacturing cost are all reduced as a result.

  • Publication number: 20130048234
Abstract: The present invention relates to a very flexible Venetian blind that easily can be adapted to various sizes of for instance window openings, by a person having limited skill in mounting and adapting Venetian blinds. Also the Venetian blind according to the invention is designed such that individual slats can easily be removed for instance to change the overall size of the Venetian blind or for repair or replacement of individual slats. It is hence also easy according to the invention to change the overall appearance, for instance colour, of the Venetian blinds to meet changing requirements. These and other objects and advantages are attained by the Venetian blind according to the invention. It is understood that although the various elements of the Venetian blind according to the invention here are described and shown as used to form one specific Venetian blind it is also possible to use one or more of the elements (for instance the bottom portions, the lift mechanism etc.

  • Patent number: 7958395
Abstract: A method and system for performing diagnostics and validation operations on a device under test uses near natural language commands. A host machine controls the testing either locally or remotely, such as through the Internet. Various options for running a test or battery of tests on the device under test include entering commands through a prompt line on a graphical user interface, reading commands from a file, or manipulating graphical objects representing components or devices and operations on a graphical user interface. A script may serve as a metric to determine the successfulness of a test or battery of tests of the device under test.

  • Patent number: 7493532
Abstract: Methods and structures within a SAS domain for automated tuning performance of a coupled pair of transceivers. In one aspect hereof, control registers of a transmitting transceiver coupled to a receiving transceiver are adjusted to a plurality of distinct combinations of settings. For each distinct setting, a test pattern may be transmitted from the transmitting transceiver to the receiving transceiver. Status registers of the transmitting transceiver and of the receiving transceiver may be read to identify errors in the transmission. Identified errors are counted for each for distinct setting of the control registers to determine a preferred setting to best tune operation of the transceiver pair. The testing may be performed by any SAS initiator device or SAS expander acting as an initiator and may be performed on any coupled pair of transceiver in the SAS domain.

  • Patent number: 7366957
Abstract: The present invention is a method and system for providing a complete validation of an initiator and target within bus architecture. A target's behavior may be controlled by an initiator. Control of the target may be through execution of initiator commands including vendor unique commands relating to desired characteristics for testing. The initiator's response to the target's behavior may be verified due to the handshaking communication protocol between a target and initiator. Additionally, by altering the behavior of the target to test initiator response, a target's behavior is also validated.

  • Patent number: 7000170
Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating a CRC (cyclic redundancy check)/parity error in network environment. A SCSI (small computer systems interface) bus expander such as an Ultra320 bus expander or the like is added between a sending device and a receiving device. The sending device-receiving device pair may execute a training session to determine the skew compensation. During the training session, the SCSI bus expander may figure out timing differences due to skew and adjusts the timing of each data signal to compensate for skew. For each data signal, a compensated time may be obtained. The compensated time may then be modified through a JTAG (Joint Test Action Group) port of the SCSI bus expander. The compensated times may be adjusted such that a CRC/parity error is generated on every I/O (input/output) or just some I/Os to the receiving device.
