A cutting tab is disposed on the lid surface. The cutting tab is sized and positioned to engage a seal of the sealed container when the lid is threaded onto the sealed container via the threads. In one application, the lid is applied to a pre-filled container including a product sealed in the container. The lid serves to open the seal and provide access to the product.
